Forum Review – Edison 2.0 Wedges

Back in March, THP featured the new lineup from Edison Golf, aptly titled Edison 2.0. If you missed our introduction, you can find that here. The design was robust and tech forward, but was also incredibly intriguing.

Fast forward a month and we asked Edison Golf if we could put the wedges in the hands of forum members to do a long term review. Each would receive a couple wedges of their choosing and then put them through the paces in their own way and share that feedback to the other members of the online community.

Edison 2.0 wedges review

At THP, we believe that testing should be done not only by us, but also by the golfers just like you. One of the cool features about being an active member of the THP Forum is that we look to you guys/gals, the consumers, to give feedback on equipment to golfers all around the world.

The review thread is long, but filled with incredible information as the golfers practiced, played and then gave their impressions each week. If you have questions, comments or just want to say job well done, you can find that forum thread here. Adding to that, we asked each of them to sum up their thoughts in a sentence or two for those that have not followed along.

“My 54 and 59 are fantastic. I bent them 2 degrees flat to counter some early pulling tendencies, but that’s typical with any wedge for me. The TK sole works great in all conditions and is especially helpful in deeper lies around the green. They are firmly in the bag!”

Forum member @das0

“I was hesitant about the weighting change compared to other wedges, but have been pleasantly surprised based on my results. The forgiveness for off center hits is apparent, the TK sole is versatile for all lies, and why these wedges are my current gamers. These are wedges that look good, feel great, and perform even better.”

“The Edison 2.0 wedges have been a very consistent club in the bag for me. I’ve hit more greens and my proximity to the hole has improved since switching to the 2.0’s. The TK sole has also proved to be very versatile in a variety of conditions. Overall, a wedge that deserves more attention!”

Forum member @GoldenBuff

“In my testing I enjoyed the overall forgiveness and sole design. From full swings to touch shots, the wedges had a nice sound/feel and performed as advertised. I particularly enjoyed the wedges for <50 yard shots and testing; those are the shots where I can end up hitting higher on the face, and the Edison wedges really helped me there.”

If you have interest or curiosity in the new line from Edison, this thread is still going on the THP Forum and you can jump in at any point, here. To learn more or to pick up some wedges with their risk free trial, head over to their website at www.edisonwedges.com.
