OK, I'm not exactly sure this is where I should post this ... because I didn't win anything to deserve this ... (so please move as appropriate)
To preface this post, everyone should know that I have two little girls. They are 7 and 3-years old. Over the last several weeks, I've contacted JB via PM to express interest in getting some clubs for my older daughter and was excited when he posted the review of the Tiger Cub product line. I was a bit disappointed to find out that ordering them wasn't a "straight forward process" and figured I'd wait until Spring to figure out what to do.
Unbelievably, these arrived at my house today. They are the Tiger Cub MK IV set (http://tigercubgolf.com/mk4.php) and are for kids 6 to 8 years old. Upon opening the box, my first reaction was how incredibly cute these clubs are. After that, I was very impressed by the quality of every piece of the set ... the clubs, the covers, and the bag!
Before I get to the pics, I just wanted to express my warmest gratitude to JB and GG for thinking about me and my girls and for their incredible generosity. It is enough that THP has been very good to me, but it was very touching to receive something that I know both daughters will love and get tons of use out of. It means a lot, guys. Without further ado ... the pics!

I think Claire is referring to the fact that it was written on her stationary. We would prefer to keep these private. It was a note that honest to God kind of touched us. But to sum it up, it basically said that she loves her new putter cover.

A thirteen year old girl? He'd never find me!
So far, the scorpion is nameless. I posed it on my hybrid, because I was too lazy to drag The Kid's clubs out of the garage.

I do have plans for this driver. I'm going to go and hit it on a launch monitor with the stock shaft, and write up my impressions and results. Then I'm going to shaft it with a few different shafts, and then go hit it again on a launch monitor, and I'll write up all of my results, and post them up here. It'll be a ongoing thing for several months. I'm really, really excited to start this experiment!!

I think I need to pick up one of those quick reference guides, I have the rule book in my bag, but from what I understand it is easier to find answers in the quick rules guide. I had a lie buried in the face of the bunker and no stance to hit it a few months back and it took me so long to find the option in the rules book I ended up giving up looking and trying to play the shot resulting in 3 shots to get it to a playable lie. At home that night I finally figured out what my options were by finding an online quick reference guide.

The OGIO Edge (http://www.ogio.com/product.php?product=169): Or, OmyGodIOwe THP big.
This is really the greatest stand bag I've seen. I especially am impressed with the number of function-specific gizmos and pockets built into the bag. I wanted to give the viewing public an idea of some of the many cool things I noticed just in my first look at it. So forgive the number of images you're about to see, but this is cool stuff.
But first, the OGIO Edge outdoors in all its beauty:

A. Dedicated Umbrella Loop, I Mean, "Containment" Area

K. The Loop for the Top of the Umbrella

The more pics the better WSE. That is an amazing bag I can't beleive it. I'm suprised it doesn't have the 3 ball holder on the bag though.
Dent IMHO with a zipperless ball pouch, they are not needed. 3 ball holders to me are there for convenience. With no zipper, they are convenient without one.

Well my favorite UPS driver made a stop at the house this afternoon. It looks like my 3 iron will be taking a break from the bag to make room for a new Miura 60*. Many thanks to THP and all the companies putting up prizes for the contest.

That is part of the back of my hallway closet. I have a couple of painters who are very talented artists and the back of my closet was always an eye sore so when they did the room they decorated it to look like an old wood burning oven. The 'stone' on the bottom and the 'tile' above is actually plaster that was hand colored and polished. I saw them do it and I can't even believe it's not real stone and tile. We found the Wonder oven door on Ebay and tell people it's from a Wonder bread oven. Here's the whole thing.

Yes, there is some major construction happening there. Dredging the lakes, redoing the bridges, lots of the cart paths, etc. I hope they finish up before it gets really nice out.

C'mon Claire. It's not nearly as hard when one strikes the ball as well as you do.

PRO LEADERBOARD
First, a few words on my initial impressions about this. Overall, I think this thing is going to be great. I played around with it a little bit this afternoon and it isn't easy. It's a great tool for developing balance, feel, and muscle pattern memory. The feedback on certain swing flaws is quick and unmistakeable. In fact, I can't believe just how bad my balance has become in my old age. My core strength is also pretty lousy: with only the two light bands attached I was having a really tough time doing the twisting, core execises. Contrarily, I was pretty impressed by the level of fitness and balance demonstrated by Stuart Appleby, the sponsoring pro for this particular golf gizmo. (Although it's hard to say how much resistence he was using in the video, I've got to hand it to him, his balance looked spot on perfect -- far different than I felt when going through the paces, I assure you!) If I had to offer a suggestion for improvement, I think it would be related to the video. It comes with three DVDs, and the set does a really great job walking you through the numerous exercises and swing flaws/fixes the device addresses. But I wish the set also contained something like a fixed 30-minute workout routine that one can follow along at home (perhaps something with techno music and several leotarded men and women in the background, along the lines popularized by women trainers promising to turn buns and abs into steel, for example). Well, maybe not the buns of steel routine, but something put together that doesn't require you to do it on your own That's just a minor point, though, and otherwise the video was all easy to understand. I'm thrilled to start making this a regular part of my weekly fitness regimen, as I am unusually confident that regular and consistent use of this thing will improve, first and foremost, my balance in the golf swing, the solidity of my stance and base, and together that should help minimize my tendency toward lateral leg action and mishitting fat or thin. Also, with time I certainly expect to see some added distance as core stregth and flexibility improve with use. So with just a single day's observation, I'm ready to give this thing two enthusiastically upward thrusting thumbs. :good: :good:
