Pick up a set of alignment sticks.

You don't have to pony up for the fancy ones like shown, some driveway reflectors from the TSC will do just fine.
Here's a good excuse to go to Northern Tool (like you need an excuse to go there!) - http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_6970_200332781_200332781
An article on using them (same concept) - http://www.golfweek.com/foryourgame/instruction/story/stance_042907

GummI beat me to the punch. That is the best way to work on alignment. You don't have to run out and get the alignment sticks 2 clubs work just as well. Lay them down like rail road tracks so you have a refrence line for you feet as well as the club. I want you to take your time and set up from behind the ball to start to get a feel for how to aim. Use the clubs on the ground to double check your set up. This is another great idea for THP TV (drills and tips) segment. Please let me know how it works out for you.

Alignment sticks worked great. I carry a set in my bag when practicing.

I went to Home Depot today and got "Fish Tape" it is basically a fiberglass skinny rod used for running wires through a wall or ceiling, well I cut it in half 2 3foot pieces and put vaccum tube caps on the cut ends and they look great for alignment sticks THEY GLOW IN THE DARK TOO!!!!!!!

Get a couple of metal yard sticks. About $1.99 ea. Wooden ones are cheaper, but they will eventually twist, or warp. Yard sticks work well since you have numbers on them to serve as reference points for foot, and ball positions. :comp:

Yep. That right there is what the pros use. You could see them in Paul Casey's bag in the final round of the WGC Match Play last week. (I think it was Casey's bag . . . maybe it was Ross Fisher's bag.)
If a $1.99 - $3.99 (x2) item available at just about any hardware or home center is good enough for the best players in the world . . .

I couldn't find a picture of Casey's or Fisher's bag, but here is Chris Wood's bag:

Nice, except for the ManU headcover!
