I dont think Romo is a bad QB. I think that he is in the top half of starting NFL QBs. That being said we wont be able to win a lot of games if we dont get some guys on Defense. Cant win if you cant hold anyone

I dont think I have said he is a bad QB. I have called him an average QB quite a lot though. Even below average at times.

And based on that supporter tag, your judgement might be a little off....heheh

I would say I am a bit biased, but Im not sure if you base this argument of stats (which to me seems the fair way to do it) how you could say he isnt an above average quarterback? He puts up pretty good numbers year in and year out IMO.

I think the most commonly used word here for non Cowboy fans and Romo is usually overrated.

So stats are what you bank it on? Not actual throws?
Well, then you are right, he is a top 6 QB in the league.
You may want to look at the rest of the rankings since you are going on stats alone. :alien:

If he's no longer fast enough to just run past everyone down the sideline - on selected plays only - and not outrun the corner every time - you know, the only thing he was ever really, really good at - why not retire? Now he can quit on every play, not just most of them. :)

Or he is just pulling a favre haha

lmao, Welcome back NFL!! I might even kill my comcast for the new deal on DircTV. In case you missed it, the NFL Package is included now. BOOM

That's what we did...although I don't work for the company I'd be killing my contract with :act-up:

Jason Taylor back with the Dolphins! I know that he's pretty old, but I still think he can give them 20 plays/game as a pass rush specialist. I'm just going to forget about him wearing a Jets jersey last year, he needs to kick butt this year and then retire as a Dolphin.

Agreed. He was a stud for the Dolphins forever, and regardless of what he does this year it will be good to see him end his career with the Dolphins

Free NFL package is huge, they charged arms and legs for it.

There is a rumor going around and it is just that, a rumor, that the two sides came to an agreement, but they are different things.
Taylor thinks he is coming back as a pass rushing specialist and the team thought he would come back for pre-season (a show) and then retire as a Dolphin before the season started.

Not sure any of it is true, but quite a few in the league have been having a chuckle about it.

Question for you OEM and other Cowboys fans. Going into last year, many of the fans felt as though they were the team to beat. That they were a real contender. They started slow and of course the Romo belly putter issue, I mean injury issue. But if they were going to be a contender last year and injuries got them, do you think they should really overhaul? I would think fans for the most part would be content, no?

Last year we thought we had a solid tandem of CB's and possible question marks in the safety slot. Jenkins folded badly and both safeties were horrendous. Plus the Oline truly showed their age. None of that was apparent at the beginning of last year. Fans stupidly felt like the Oline could give us 1 more year. We addressed the Oline but absolutely nothing was done about the worst secondary in football.

The Miami Dolphins have agreed to terms with free-agent OT Marc Colombo (Cowboys). Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

At least the Redskins are in your division so you don't have to worry about finishing in last place...ever lol

To the fans.

And now you feel as though Jenkins does not have it? I know most of the fans do right?

Im not sold on giving up on Jenkins for the Cowboys yet. He was an early pick, has loads of potential (according to that pick and college), but needs discipline. To me that goes back to coaching staff in some ways and of course no CBs are going to look good without getting pressure on the ball. I think he may surprise people if they get more pressure on the QB.

Cowgirls better not suck again this year. Im going to say 10-6. Crosses fingers.

Probably go watch a couple this year at jerry world, that place is ridiculous.

Watch that NFL Sunday Ticket deal, though, there's fine print. I'm pretty sure you have a 2 year agreement and everything bumps to full price that second year = $$$$

I wouldn't get too excited Miami fans - I don't think Taylor has anything left in him. The Jets aren't exactly good at rushing the passer - if he had anything left I doubt they'd be letting him go as desperate as they are to win now.

If the Dolphins front office is thinking one thing and JT is thinking another thing, that's awful, I really hope that is not the case. The players on the team seem to be excited that he's coming back, most of the fans are excited, and if the front office screws him over by telling him that they're not going to keep him around after the preseason, that's another misstep in the court of public opinion that the Dolphins front office will have made.

On the whole, I think the Dolphins can have a top-10 defense this year, especially with the D-line depth that they have built up. However, they still don't have good QB play, and in the AFC East I think it will be hard for me to see them winning more than 8 games.

No way its way too early to give up on Jenkins. He showed he has talent as a rookie we just need Ryan to get him motivated. Newman is one that worries me but I think he can be covered up with some good pressure like you say. If we dont get pressure on the QB then we get to see the back his jersey all year. I saw that last year and didnt care for it.

No I think Jenkins will come back strong. I wanted to cut him after that pathetic attempt? at a tackle last year in giving up the TD. I have since cooled down and I feel like he just wasn't motivated to play last year. It's sad that an NFL player needs to be motivated but apparently he does. I think he comes back strong. I also don't think Newman is as bad as everyone says he is. I do think the safeties are very bad though. Pick up 2 safeties and a pass rusher and we will be solid. I think 9-7.
