Let me start by saying that I have *NO* affiliation with the group that is making this offer, but when I was contacted about it I thought I'd share the offer to anyone else that might interested....

I'm sure we've all seen the 'visit a time share / private property and receive a free set of golf clubs offer'....but I attended the Texas Home & Garden Show in Fort Worth (don't ask...I sucked it up and went for the wife) and there was a booth that had Rocketballz clubs on display. Of course I was intrigued, so I asked if they were giving them away. They said not at this time but that they did have a golf club promo for visitors to the location in Brownwood, Texas. They took my info and said they'd call. That was over a month ago....and then I got a call last night.

Essentially you visit their undeveloped property via a tour which takes an hour and then you get a FREE Rocketballz driver!! I asked if it was a stiff shaft and was told that it was. Ok, I'm a sucker, but an hour of my time is worth a new driver....that I don't need....but will gladly take!

Yeah. Do it.

Yeah. Do it.

Well even if you didn't want it the least you could expect to sell a brand new RBZ driver for? $200 +

so yea I'd love to get paid $200 an hour, I would sell it if me I don't need it

Uh. Yeah I'll give up an hour for a new Driver.even if I just use it as trade bait for something else.

Why not do it. As long as you can tell them no.

Tapaway!

No hesitation. Do it.

All I can say is.....BE STRONG MY MAN! They are good at what they do when they start hard selling you. Just node your head and keep your eye on the prize, RBZ is the goal not a time share or a portion.

Trust me when I tell you these guys will double and triple team you to get the sale. The ware you down. It's also going to be longer than an hour and half. Don't sign anything!!!!

Good luck!

I'd do it for sure. Only negative would be if I had to drive a long distance.

I ain't signing jack and the wife always defers to me anyway....so we are locked tight on that. I have no problem telling them from the start that I'm there for the driver and won't be signing or agreeing to anything....so go thru the motions and hand over the stick.

Anyone have a RBZ driver yet? Thoughts? I love my TP SF 2.0 and I've only had it about 2 months. Hitting bombs with it and love the consistent slight fade I have now....no interest in changing out, even for the RBZ driver.

Do it! But don't let the pushy salesmen talk you into buying anything...lol

That's pretty awesome haha.

I will be the contrarian. I did this once in Mexico in order to play an expensive course. I regretted it. I am a very firm "No" kind of person so I was never tempted to give in but you have to remember they aren't giving this stuff away for free. Expect more than an hour of being pressured by the worst car salesman type person imaginable. If this place is remote you are going to have a hard time leaving and getting out of there.

I'm more than ready for this....I work for Mercedes-Benz, so I've seen (and done) some of the best sales pitches imaginable. I know it'll take more than an hour, but nothing deflates a salesrep quicker than the guy that doesn't say much and doesn't give you much to work with. The other is being "sick" and having the annoying cough. Salesreps can't afford to be sick, especially the one's that work on commission, so they'll be happy to move you right on thru... I won't be rude, but it ain't gonna be a fun ride either.

haha I think this is real close on the scale of worthiness. Please update with a trip report after you get the driver though!

Do you mind spending two hours and sending me the other driver? :act-up: You can sell it to me for half price. Haha

I did an hour for a timeshare in Hawai'i for a 4 person catamaran ride voucher. (It was a big catamaran, held probably 20 people or so.)

An hour for a $140 ride was worth it.

I'd be on this like a donkey on a waffle. You got this bro!

Re-reading that I'd like to amend my statement - it isn't the person it is the experience. When you buy a car you know what to expect but you can always bail on the dealership because you know there are others. In this case you have to put in your time to get your prize so they've got you. Anyway, to each their own, it is a nice driver :)

Read the fine print to make sure there is no way for them to worm out of giving you a RBZ driver. Done this kinda thing several times, first time was for a free weekend of golf saleslady sees we are not into it and point blank asks if we are only there for the free golf we say yep and she gives us a quicky speal hands us vouchers and says have a great weekend and let me know if there is anything I can do the make it better while your here. We returned many times over the following years and really fell in love with the place.

Went for a free TV and wasted an entire evening listening to one lousy salesmen after another go through their schlock, finally comes time to get prize and they point to the fine print where there is a drawing for all attendees to have a chance at a TV, pretty sure there was never a winner of the TV as the drawing was done the next day and only the winner was notified, yeah right :lying:.

Did one in Mexico, worst ever and we said never again. While touring the property we thought we were on a set for a porno movie (sorry no details will be given but trust me it was a weird experience), they fed us a meal which got us both sick and put us though hell when we refused to sign (at one point they told us we could not leave).

Good luck with it and hoping you come out of it with a driver.
