I need to pull a TM adapter off of a shaft. Is it possible, and do I just carefully heat it just like the head of a club?

Pretty much.
Don't try this with a Cobra adapter for the record though

Wouldn't you want to use an extractor to make sure it's pulled exactly straight off to avoid damaging the shaft?

Thats a given, but you still have to heat it to use an extractor......

When I pulled mine the heat softened the plastic on the tip and the extractor completely ruined it.

I had an adapter pulled off of my old Harrison Pro 2.5 driver shaft and the plastic bit melted but you it's still useable, or so the guy at GolfTown says.

I'm going to be taking my Speeder off my FT-i soon and putting it in the supertri to see how it goes. If I later want to put that shaft back in the FT-i it would likely ruin the R9 tip then right, but the shaft would still be good?
