I made a time lapse video of these guys cutting down my mulberry tree (I turned it into somewhat of a commercial for them as a favor). Anyway, it was amazing to watch the climber work and how they steered the branches away from power lines and my garage with ropes and pulleys. I had never seen anything like this in person. Totally impressive.

Cool vid BM64, I live in a small neighborhood and the lots are in the 1/2 acre 3/4 acre range so all trees here are taken down like that. I had 31 pine trees taken off of my lot over the 25 years I have lived here and it was always fun to watch the tree surgeons go about their job.

Nice video Brad, very cool to see them doing it old school!!!

That was great to watch. Great video and editing, that was pretty cool

Thanks. One technique I saw that was so cool was that the climber would cut a "hinge" in a branch and the guys on the ground would use ropes to swing it out and away from an obstacle and then the climber would cut through the hinge and allow the branch to fall right where he wanted. It was totally mesmerizing to watch.
