I don't have any video, but I just heard The Today Show woman say about one of the floats, "well, here's something you don't see everyday"? As if maybe you do see some of the entrants in the parade everyday? I've only been to NYC once, but do not recall seeing a giant Spiderman or Kermit the Frog.
