My daughter wanted a treehouse, but we don't have any trees big enough for a good one. My solution is to build a clubhouse out over the ravine behind our house. Today I put up the posts that will hold the platform & framed out the floor. I still need to add some cross beams for lateral stiffness, but its pretty sturdy as is.

Here's a pic from the top looking down into the ravine.

I played Ko Olina almost 12 years ago while I was on my honeymoon. That is an awesome course.

This was actually yesterday about 1000 ft up but a more interesting picture than today where I am just sitting in my office. Very rarely do I have to go up a tower but when I do I like to take the time to admire the views. I would love to hit a golf ball from off the tower just to see how far it would go but the danger that ball could present to someone on the ground is far to great.
