EDIT: BTW, the absolute most crushed I have ever been watching a golf tournament is the 2009 British Open Championship. Nothing against Stewart Cink of course, but Watson winning The Open would have eclipsed even Nicklaus winning at Augusta in '86.

EDIT #2: Freddie is also not wearing socks. With long pants. WTF Freddie?

I watched all four rounds of The Open from the pro shop of our club. I have never experienced the gammut of emotion that happened over Saturday and Sunday.

I actually had the unique opportunity to visit with Watson a few months later.....watch him hit balls....and play a few holes (yes play....badly).

he is a stick.
