British Open Championship [Spoilers]

TW shows that the new grooves still spin as he hits out of a bunker and it spins right back in it...Kidding of course.

I believe Tom Watson is looking for his lucky charms today. How can one of the best dressed men on tour put that shirt and tie on with the jacket in the booth. I guess Polo is not scripting him in the booth...hehe

I tihink he had john daly pick out his tie for him this morning

Zzzzzzzz I'd rather go play then watch this one I think

I agree with JB, this course just didn't seem tough enough this week to give these guys a challenge. Friday afternoon was cool, but that's about it.
And for me it has absolutely nothing to do with the names on the leaderboard, all of these guys have the ability to play entertaining shots. I actually much prefer learning about some of the lesser-known guys than watching Tigger and Phil all day.

i wish someone like Dustin Johnson or Kaymer or Westwood would make a run at the leaders today then it would be real interesting but for the moment i just dont see this one being very entertaining

Alejandro Canizares' caddy is wearing Teva sandles. Really?

putter path technology....good or bad viewing experience?

I like it, although Tiger proved yesterday there are definitely other ways to get it to the hole in some cases.

I have a good friend who works for ABC in the stylist department (does food porn set ups for their Good Morning cooking segments). Asked her about the "twinkie look" of the presenters when we had lunch on Friday (hated the ties Rocco was wearing in the booth), she said the Styling department probably "tested" the look on camera to see what looked good in keeping with a "heather and highland" look.

Course, Tom has always had a bit of a bizzare taste in ties when Polo isn't dressing him...

I will be the first one to say this, the Open has been a big letdown for me. Low scores and fairly good weather consistently throughout the week have shown me just how much more I prefer Augusta and the US Open as for tests of golf. Just my opinion of course and many will disagree and that is cool too.

But I have watched hours of this and it just does not have the same appeal. The history is great, but outside that, there is little appeal to me other than my job part of things.

Completely agree. I definitely think last year's Open (not including Watson/Cink stories) course was much more of a test. Love the course from a history stand point, definitely want to play it (on bucket list) but except for Friday afternoon, which was a weather challenge and some of the punative bunkers, this has just been one display of bad putting after another by every single person of the field.

Not sure what people were expecting as far as scores go? Does nobody know what the scores at St. Andrews have been like since oh, 1955?

Out of curiosity, has Ian Poulter ever made a public comment on John Daly's golf attire? I find myself cringing at the spectical one of our American representatives is displaying to the world. Ian has worn some bright, some what crazy styles, but the guy can pull it off with class. It also seem's as if the European players have gone away from the pastels and bright colors to lot's of white and/or black colors, while the Americans have gone a bit brighter?

tiger finishes at -3 for the tourney. couple of double bogeys today.
oosthuizen 1 under today. -16 overall
casey 1 under today. -12 overall

I am also having trouble getting into this. I just can't get excited by Louis or Paul Casey and no one else has done anything all day. It got so bad that I went out and did yard work for an hour and a half. I love the course, but without an active (or interesting) leaderboard, I am bored.

Someone tell Casey that he's running out of holes. Come on PKC! make a move, and make this exciting.

wow this is taking casey forever. hits into the bushes, gets a drop. and 15-20 minutes later we might have his second shot.

well its pretty much over. 8 stroke lead now. this is ridiculous

Yup. ABC can clear afternoon schedule. Move away people.... nothing to see here.
