These are new for Fall Season.

Spin, Control and Feel are most important around the greens, which is why better players, like Luke Donald, the #1 ranked Sand Player on the PGA Tour*, rely on Mizuno’s legendary MP line of wedges. Building on the success of the Tour confirmed MP T-10™ line of wedges, Mizuno is proud to introduce the new "Condition of Competition" conforming MP T-11™ line of high performance forged wedges.

These new MP T-11 wedges combine Mizuno’s patented Grain Flow Forged™ feel with a Tour proven head shape and sole to provide unmatched precision in the short game. The MP T-11™ wedges are Grain Flow Forged from 1025E "Pure Select" mild carbon steel to provide the most soft, solid and consistent feel available, while an innovative 360° grind and thinner top line deliver maximum shot making versatility and control.

The MP T-11™ wedges feature a CNC milled face along with acclaimed QUAD CUT GROOVE technology, which enables Mizuno to precisely control the width, depth, draft angle and shoulder radius of each groove to deliver maximum spin control and ball stopping ability in all playing conditions. These QUAD CUT GROOVES combine with a new revolutionary shaft, the DG Spinner™ from True Temper, to provide the maximum level of spin for unmatched precision. The new MP T-11 wedge line is available in two elegant finishes; Two Tone White Satin chrome and glare resistant Black Nickel.

"Condition of Competition" QUAD CUT GROOVES along with a CNC Milled Face for Maximum Spin in all conditions
True Temper™ DG Spinner™ shaft for enhanced spin and controlled boring trajectory to deliver ball stopping power.
Patented Grain Flow Forged 1025E "Pure Select" mild carbon steel for soft, solid, and consistent feel.
Innovative 360° sole grind for shot making versatility
Tour Proven teardrop head shape.
Two tone White Satin Chrome and Black Nickel finishes.

I have the black nickel finish on my wedges and it is really nice, the pics don't do it justice.

Are these these heads the same size as last year's MPT 10's JB? I thought the smaller head wasn't as nice as in previous lines

They appear to be. I love them in person.

Great looking club. JB can we get a top down look of the head at address?
With wedges, I feel that view gives a very good feel for the club head shape and size.

Thanks is right, the black nickel finish looks awesome.

That part in the beginning sounded like it came from Mizuno marketing. Usually you put a disclaimer though when its not from your own mouth.

They are packed up and ready to go to the outing, so I cannot take anymore images until the conclusion of this weekend with them. As for the beginning part. I always put "press release" if it is a press release. That was merely info emailed to us such as specs of the clubs and what the clubs are. Just a description

Darnit, now my "wedges to try list" just got longer and I thought I had whittled it down to the final two last week. Thanks! :dohanim:

Hey JB, do the still have that faint C grind? im really interested in the spin rates, I think its sweet how they have different grooves depending on the loft....

They appear to, but not as pronounced.

I love that last picture in this thread.

I have always thought Mizuno have had amazing irons and wedges to look at.

I'm not usually interested in equipment porn but I have to say that these wedges are really nice. I love the trailing edge grind - especially at the heel and the head shape and the faces are perfect. I've always had a fondness for Mizuno and I've always liked their irons so I'm not surprised that they've come up with wedges like these.

They look great! :thumb:

These look rather nice!

I'll be interested to hear how they perform too.

Almost the exact same design as last year. They call it their 360 sole grind.

Hit these yesterday and really liked them. Really soft feeling which is what I prefer in a wedge. Hit them indoors though. Really want to see how that new shaft performs outside hitting into a green. Shaft is really cool.

We received about 5 of these shafts from TT for review. They are a great wedge shaft.

Mizuno really does make some of the most buttery wedges out there.

I am a big fan of the look of the white satin chrome. The other finish is nice as well, but I don't care for the yellowish/golf paint fill I prefer the blue.

The fact that these come with the DG Spinner shafts makes me very happy.

you and me both. i can't believe how well that combination works.

So, apologies if it was already stated, but does this cause the shaft to be more whippy? Also, does it promote a higher flight with the higher spin rate?

It might, but I have not seen more whippy. I do get a slightly higher spin rate on the launch monitor.

while i don't have the swing speed you do, i found no whippiness whatsoever. it is an odd looking shaft but you'll forget about it immediately. i actually see a slightly lower ball flight when compared to my cg14, but i've noticed a decent increase in distance. i will tell you this though, some of the best feedback, and softest feeling wedges i've ever hit.

I am not surprised, although I would expect with the softer metal you'll be changing out wedges a bit more often.. I think one or two of these bad boys are going to need to find their way into my bag...

Awesome to hear a lack of more whippy JB. I always have concerns with running wedge shafts... Seems interesting that a person using a regular shaft in irons could use the same wedge shaft as a person using x-stiff shafts.

look pretty damn sweet, give some away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i think that's a valid concern as well, but i think you'll be pleasantly surprised. just wait til you chip or pitch with these things, the amount of spin you'll see is crazy.
