I did not do the survey as I honestly do not know any about 80% of the moments listed. I will credit that to being 33 years old. I do remember Tiger in 97 so would have to vote for that. Complete and utter domination at a major event. Simply AMAZING at the time (and still is IMO).

yeah the lack of history/recap is a major oversight. I would have appreciated being able to click on each entry to read a quick recap of the master moment. I went with my top 10 and sort of rounded out the rest to be honest.

I'd also say tiger in 97

Mine was Nicklaus in 86. When he started his charge it was electric. That was the first time I'd ever seen golf on tv be compelling. I could't turn it off. The crowd would erupt when he sank a putt and the cameras would cut to the tee box and you would see the other players have to back off because of the roar.

I too voted Nicklaus' 86 victory as #1, I also voted the 96 Norman collapse as my least favorite, I still hurt for him when I think about that day.

Jack in '86 was incredible with the -7 on the back 9, but I forgot about his finish of 6th I believe it was in '98 when he was almost 60, just how he owned this course over the years the way he did is truly amazing.

My top 2 moments are Nicklaus in 1986 and Ben Crenshaw's win in 1995.

Gotta go with Jack in '86....

Best Masters I remember was Nicklaus-Weiskopf-Miller in '75. Somewhat similar to '86 in that Nicklaus was in the clubhouse and had to sweat out two putts on 18 that would have forced a playoff. Weiskopf and Miller each burned the edge.

I always downgrade '86 a little bit because Seve gave it away with the 4 iron into the pond on #15. As great as Nicklaus played, he was destined to run second if Seve played moderate golf over the final 3 1/2 holes.

I thought the O'Meara year was right up there, although I didn't root for him and never expected him to win. Many popular guys were in top contention, playing great on Sunday -- Couples, Duval, Furyk. And obviously Nicklaus' terrific finish.

Financially my best by far was '96. I bet golf matchups and in that era Las Vegas sportsbooks were still independent of each other and competing for business. Consequently you had options galore. I was risking a nickel or dime per matchup and I think the tally that year was 21 wins among 25. Sunday was incredible. Those matchups can swing wildly on the final day and in '96 I was pulling out one after another. Literally everything in the balance went my way other than one: I had Norman to defeat Faldo. But I was a Faldo fan and rooted for him all day. Once it was obvious everything else would cash I couldn't believe what a glorious day it had been, literally every result ending the way I would have scripted 10 hours earlier. Still my favorite golf event ever.

For me it was Jack winning his last one and Phils first. I was glued to the TV for those.

Any Masters with Norman in contention was pure drama.

In terms of suspense and greatness, no one can beat Tigers chip on hole 16 where his ball sat on the edge of the cup. Then dropped in the cup and the crowd went insane! :D My personal favorite by far!

I wish one of them would have gone his way. Would have been nice for him to have put on the green jacket once.

Jack in 86' best IMO.My personal fave was Phil in 04' also his first major win.

i cant comment as this will be my first masters that i actually watch. that will be my most memerable moment

As I am young my favorites are from the more recent era.

Tiger's chip in at 16 was incredible! The picture of that ball hanging on the lip... then dropping in and the crowd going nuts, is one that I will always remember.

Phil's first win, because I love Phil!!!

Phil's shot off the pine needles and sticking it close to the hole is probably the single greatest shot!

But, my pick is for a Master's moment that I never even witnessed (at least I can't remember it). Nicklaus in '86 is one of those events that my father has told and retold to me 1000 times. It is a golf moment that even though I wasn't there, I feel like I was.

ESPN is showing a special on Nicklaus' win in 86. It's on Wednesday night sometime( 6pm E). Also on ESPN classic tomorrow they are showing a bunch of past masters shows. For those of you that didn't see Jack's charge you need to catch one of these shows
