Lands on the fairway, on a course in Australia...


Tee off then see a plane coming in to land would be crazy!

impressive sticking the green from that distance.
 
That is a fairway he really didn't want to miss.

I guess so, time to pull out the 6 iron and hit a bump and run under the left wing.

I was thinking 3 wood off the door, hit the left side of the tail end then have it roll out to the hole and leave me 8-10 feet for birdie. But id have to hit about a 7 yard fade to get it to work. I think I can do it. ha

I was trying to find something witty to tie it back to the movie Casino. But that will do.
 
I know people that would be mad it messed up their round instead of being glad the pilot is OK. Sad but true.

That happened a few years ago at a course I play. On the other side of the road from the course is a typical, small-town, municiple airport. Just single engine, personal aircraft planes mostly. A guy landed on the 14th fairway, except he didn't plan on landing there, he just didn't have a choice. His engine gave out and that is where the plane ended up.
 
Wow! That is crazy! There is an airport next to a muni course in a local city in my area.. makes you worried every single time you see one of those big boys coming in to land!
 
Looks like Luke Donald finally found a way to hit the fairway from the tee box
