I grew up on a course and started playing when I was eight. Played junior golf growing up and high school golf. Was conference MVP my senior year while playing about a six handicap. Didn't play much through my twenties and basically gave up the sport for twenty years. Fast forward to 2009, got laid off, took two years off from work, bought new clubs and began playing again. Once a week turned into twice/ three times a week that turned into a part time job at a course which led to a lot of playing and practice time. Worked my handicap down to a four. Then.....I got a real job, got remarried, inherited a stepchild and hung up the clubs for almost three years. Got some new irons in Aug of 2014 to get pumped to begin playing again and started shooting low 80's. New woods in Oct, playing twice a week and practicing once or twice a week. Want to get down to a consistent 6.
