Pardon, but there is no such thing as being on the cusp between R and A flex because there is no industry standard for those letter designations. As @Bernoulli said, you have to try them out. Also, multiple criteria make up the flex characteristics of a shaft.

I get your point, but for the record a scratch player IS going to shoot mid to high 70s most of the time assuming he’s playing courses and tees that have a course rating of around 72. Remember only 8 of your last 20 BEST rounds are part of the handicap calculation.
