Mensa

I've been doing a lot of reading and researching about Mensa lately and I think that I'm interested in attempting to join. I hope to take an admission test this summer, and based on the necessary qualifications and where my IQ falls, I will hopefully be successful. Are there any THPers out there that are members of Mensa? The idea of something like that intrigues me so much, and I'd love to hear of any stories or related experiences that you have to share.

I know a little about Mensa, in the 9th grade we took an I.Q. test at school and after the scores came back the school administrators encouraged a few of us to take the Mensa admission test but sadly I didn't do it. I still regret that decision to this day!

I think it's a great idea and you should definitely take the test and see where it goes.

I say go for it. What can it hurt.

But I do think one of the questions on the MENSA admission test should be, "Have you ever argued on the internet?" If anybody answers "yes", then they should be immediately denied membership.

I understand that I would be kicked out.
