I will be in the Nashville area Friday, dropping my wife at the flea market then looking for a course that isn't too far from the fairgrounds.

The course needs to be somewhat close since she probably won't want to spend all day there.

Any course recommendations? Anyone with free time to tee it up with me?

McCabe is the closest course I can think of. It is about 10 minutes away. It is a Muni course and not too difficult. They have a practice range as well. 18 holes and a cart is $36 and I believe 9 and a cart is $18. It stays fairly packed, but you should be able to walk on with no problem. Unfortunately, I have to work Friday or I would take you up on your offer. What time are planning on being here?

I will drop her off when it opens then have most of the day to myself. So I could drive a little ways but not an hour. Maybe down to Murphreesboro or something like that.

I may just show up early at McCabe and see if they have room for a walk on. That would beat walking all day at the flea market.

I am not too familiar with Murfreesboro courses. Hermitage golf course is a nice course and about 30 minutes away about $60 for 18 on the less expensive course, but you get free range balls. Gaylord Springs is a little pricey, but a really nice course from what I have heard.

If you are just going to walk on, McCabe will be your best bet. I wish I could join you, but I won't be free till the afternoon. Have fun and hit them well.

Thanks for your help. Maybe we can tee it up some other time.

SOunds good to me. If you can give me a little more time, I canwork my schedule around it and possibly get to play. Have fun tomorrow!!

I decided it would be a good day to take off from golf and went to the flea market. I spent the time sitting in the shade watching characters go by then hit the Golfsmith store in Brentwood for a new putter. Supper tonight at The Loveless Motel, good gosh was that some good eats!

Next time you're in Nashville, let me know. We'll definitely tee it up.

I would like that, maybe the missus will give me some more lead time next trip.

People watching at the fair grounds is always a treat in my opinion. Never a dull moment! I am glad you had a good time. The Loveless is fantastic. Hopefully we will see you next time!
