In tournaments like the WM Phoenix Open, how many players go home with money?

Regardless of how much or how little, what place is the last place that goes home with a check?
 
I think everyone who makes the cut gets a check.
 
It is usually the top 70 and ties make the cut. If you make the cut you get paid. Not the case (top 70) for every tournament, but most of them (I think). Nationwide Tour is top 60.

They started somthing last year wherein there would be two cuts. In order to keep the Sunday fields managable, if more than a certain amount are tied for that 70 spot (not sure of the actual number), then the 3rd round will eliminate some of those players. They still get paid. The official term is 'made cut, did not finish' for those players. Doesn't happen all the time, just when there are too many that make the cut.

Once a tourney is over, I'm sure the online leaderboards add the money won. The LPGA does.
