scoring a 59 in a competitive round aint easy, sure GMac carded one last week playing a practice round at Portrush, and right now im watching The 3 Irish Open, and Englands Ross Fisher is about to go 10 uder through 14 (on a par 71).

4 holes to go, do you think we will see a another 59 today?

I guess we can wait and see.

well after birdying 10 of 12 holes, he missed a few birdie putts afterwards, each putt just milimeters off..
so a 61 was outcome, pretty good score by anyones standards, but sadly just short of the first ever European Tour sub 60 round.

Rory would have seen this, and he is out this afternoon.. Rory birdied a huge amount yesterday, but sadly had a few bogeys also..
maybe today will be bogey free.

That's some good shooting by Ross. He's starting to look like one to watch, just a little bit away from breaking into the big time.

probably a fair view that.. Ross is a good player, and is on the up. Might make the Ryder cup team this year. will see..
He won the Irish open an hour ago, 2 shot victory over Harrington who shot a 64 on the final day, Ross shot a 65 after starting out with a 3 shot lead. thats some solid golf by any accounts.. being the leader and then shooting a 65 to close out a tourney. Padraigs 15th top 10 this season..

good tourney anyway, 82,000 fans there to see it...

looking forward to next weeks golf.

i watched the final round this morning. good to see all of the guys on the top of the leaderboard play well today. paddy finally looked like he had some fire in his tank, he's been really disappointing on the US soil so far this year. fisher played exceptional golf today and just made it look easy. the commentators said that this win should cement his spot on the euro ryder cup team, which is good for monty, apparently he's been wanting him on the team anyway and would've used a pick for him.

Great play by Ross this weekend. Puts both Ross and Paddy in the automatic spots for the team, and knocks out Ross McGowan, for the time being. McGowan hasn't been playing too well lately, missed his last 4 cuts.
