I've spent the past week playing with my new irons trying to get familiar with them before I go and play a round. I've shot close to 1000 balls on the range (my hands will testify to this) and I've run into a problem I haven't experienced before.
With my previous irons (Cobra FP's) I could hit 7, 8 & 9 accurately with no issues, 5 & 6 were mostly good only sometimes wandering from the intended path and 3 & 4 I was too inaccurate with to make them playable (they were the reason I got the hybrids).
Now I'm playing the R9's I'm shooting great with irons 4 - 7 but 8 & 9 are pretty much unreliable. I'm knocking balls all over the range with these clubs and I just can't get them to work no matter what I try.
Has anyone else had this happen? If so, how did you get yourself out of the funk?
