My Job:

I'm a critical care flight paramedic here in Kentucky. We respond to, treat, and transport severely sick and injured adults, children, and infants. We do direct scene flights as well as interfacility flights, say for someone at a small hospital emergency room that needs to go to a larger hospital ICU. I'm also a part time professor of paramedicine at a local university. Really satisfying job. I love it.

I just finished working as a credit officer myself. I liked the credit/risk side of my job a lot, but did not enjoy being on the front line and having to tell those less than perfect customers that we couldn't meet their borrowing needs. Heard a lot of sad stories and had a lot of people get mad at me over situations in which my hands were tied by bank policy..
