Are white clubs here to stay

Or do you think they`re flash in the pan and everyone will be dumping them in a year or two....

Does it look like there is a lot more white worn by the tour...lots of shoes and clothes....all of a sudden...Jim
 
Here to stay, white apparel has been worn for a long long time now and is not going anywhere, and the white woods, and putters are not a flash in the pan. I think we will be seeing more of them, not less in the future.

Not only that. I bet we will start seeing a few other colors as well. Dunno about anyone else, but I'd love to tee off with a bright red driver. Just looks like fun.
 
Here to stay IMO. I love the white. it looks great.
 
They are here to stay. Too much of a hit and I think they actually help with seeing if your face is square.

I was going to say this as well. I think we'll see more colors before we see less.

Interesting thought and one I hadn't really thought of. Perhaps I could see this but will these colors be for improvement or style? Look at putters now, they've incorporated both. I would hope that they could do the same with other clubs.
 
Good or bad they are here for the long haul.

I think they are here for good! I definitely prefer the look of a white driver now.

Agreed, but for a time. Very few things have stood the test of time (Anser style putters).

It's like anything, some people hate them, others love them. I really like the contrast you get between the crown the black face and the ball. I like the fact there is reduced glare. I think they look great and perform well for my game.

I think they'll just get better and better as well. I think it will be a few years before someone like Callaway has a white club, given their whole shredding of Taylormade in their ad campaigns.

These aren't conforming drivers, and they look terrible IMO.

The angle on the crown shot makes those drivers look about 15 degrees closed...yikes.
 
I see no reason why it would go away, it might develop into a thick (1'') white target line on clubs with the rest being black next though i think.

I'd rock the plaid one all day long.
 
I think that's the real question, not will white stay but rather becuase of white's popularity how many other colors will now be tried to see if a company can create/land the next big color hit.
 
White isn't going anywhere. With the fitting and adjustability options of a club like the R11, I would be suprised if crown color became a part of the fitting process.
 
I seem to recall a similar thread to this not too long ago, it was pretty divided, this one seems to be more pro white. I personally really like the white head on my driver.

Agree. Everything runs in cycles. I'm not a fan of white clubs at all really. I never say never, but they look like something Walmart should be selling. White belts/white shows had their day in the seventies and made a recent comeback. Just a matter of time and they will be gone again.
 
I believe white drivers are here to stay, and will not have the same run as the square head drivers.

People like the "new" thing, and the new white clubs are it right now. Everyone has their preference, personally the white isn't for me, but if it's your thing then go for it.

I'm blown away by the popularity of the white clubs. It looks like a great marketing strategy to introduce a love/hate color early in the year. Then, later in the year, introduce the traditional color club for those who yearned for the performance, but wouldn't sport the color.

I wasn't too sure at first about the white but now I love them. They are here to stay
