The face has nice milling and it's very hollow behind. Gives a nice feel in the hands. Hit it all over the face to get an idea of "forgiveness" and I didn't really notice a big distance loss. Lines up good. Problem is I haven't 3 putted for 30 some holes so this isn't something I need. More of a want.
Thanks dude. Wish I would have seen it. What was the price?

Ya know, didn't even look. I assumed 249 and didn't 2x check. One Nome had the stickers completely removed. Maybe these weren't supposed to be out?

Finally saw the Nome last night while dropping off a shaft for grip and tip. Looks really good. Rolls like a brick on a stick. I had to be quick because the gf and son were waiting in the car for me but I didnt care for the feel at all. First blush was its a very very very firm feel. I need more time with it but the feel and the $249 price dont jive with me at this point.

Seems as if they're showing up in stores now. They only had one at mine but one is all it takes.

I rolled it yesterday as well, and really liked it. I imagine that feel you were getting was from coming from the pure roll insert to this, complete ends of the spectrum of feel. I liked how the ball came off the face of the Nome, and I rolled it quite well.

I played around with this one and the Manta, and for me, the Nome was far superior.

WE - I also putted with the Nome and the Manta and I too thought the Nome was better. I do like the feel of the Pure Roll insert, but the feel of the Nome wasn't necessarily worse, just different. I really liked the looks of the Nome and the way it's weighted. In person I didn't like the looks of the Manta at all.

Im kind of the same way on the Manta, if the shape was just a tad bit smaller, I think I would like it.

Back to the Nome though, you're right on it's weight, has a nice heft to it, but not "heavy." The only thing I would change is the alignment aide, not a big fan of the one line to set up a putt.

Isn't the alignment more the whole big black thing not just the line? I'd like to roll it again I reckon. Being rushed never works for putters. Plus what about all the options for being fit? How does that work with only one putter on the rack.

I really like Hunter but I think it's funny that he is gaming the nome putter and during t.v. coverage you see the comercial with him and bubba talking about how the anser is custom fit to his swing and he took it out of his bag.

I got that too Kmac, firm. Also felt it through the grip which is huge for me. I'm weird that I gotta have some sort of tactile feel when I putt. It's the one club that has to have it or I'm not interested. 249 is steep, I agree 100%.

I loved the roll, very quick compared to what I'm used to w the Backstryke. The alignment may not be for me either. They were straight as an arrow and went directly where I aimed. But, it was tricky for me to get lined up. Maybe I'm too used to the 2 ball alignment.
