    Warrior Golf

I would be interested in thoughts from anyone who fell for their sales pitch. High pressure, terrible customer service.

Don't give them your credit card number, or any phone numbers. I have heard this horror story too many times. They are like a hungry hound after a bone. Relentless, and very annoying are two descriptions I have heard many times about them.

When I first started playing a couple of years ago, a guy I played with said he got a "free" wedge from them and that it worked fine. I went onto their website, not knowing anything about them. Never ordered anything, but for some reason, I gave them an email address. Spam-a-riffic.

And they change the sender domain frequently to get past spam filters.

But Eddie Money plays their clubs, so they must be legit, right? ;)

A loooong time ago I fell for their free wedge pitch. Ordered the wedge, they called and talked me into ordering a 3-wood. The three wood was a decent deal as they allegedly charged me only a processing fee or some crap like that just to get my input on the club. I actually still have the 3-wood and still use it from time to time. It is decent. It even has my name on it. I never did get my free wedge though. I would never buy from them again.

    Apparently they "borrow" design cues?

I got some kind of flyer in the mail for 2 dozen free golf balls from them. I never did anything with it because I was a bit skeptical of it. Not big on to good to be true offers!!

In 2003 they were running and ad for free wedges (not really free you had to pay shipping cost which was I think $20.00 or something like that. I ordered the wedges they were OK the best thing about them was the shafts they were rifle shaft ended up giving the wedges to a friend. Still get phone calls and e-mails from these guys even though I have ask they put me on their do not call list they still call and get real upset when I say not interested do not call me ever again!

Guy I worked with fell for their give us you credit card and we send you a complete set of clubs and bag to test for us return them in 90 days and owe nothing. They made sure he was unable to return the clubs and charged his credit card $500.00. They pulled stall after stall until the time had ran out he did everything he could to get out of the deal but ended up paying.

They run a scam business how they have stayed around this long is beyond me.

was just wondering if anyone has ever taken them up on one of their "free" offers for clubs? somewhere along the way I signed up on their website and get these free offers for clubs if you supply R & D and pay S/H. quite leary of giving up the credit card info for the S/H but am very tempted to get the free clubs!

I did a little research on this, and there were several similar stories that went like so:
They send you a club or set of clubs that you are to try for a period of time (a month or so). Right off the bat, your credit card is charged the full amount of the club (hundreds of dollars), with the promise that if you indeed send the club back within the timeframe, that money will be refunded to your card. You of course also have the option of keeping the clubs if you like them, since you already paid for them.
Evidently, if you try to return the club, you must go through a rigorous episode of Warrior trying to barter with you for the club, offering to let you demo a later, better model for even more money, or offering you more free clubs if you buy the first one. If you somehow get them to agree to refund all of your money, you send the clubs back. They then pretend they never received them, and your money isn't returned until you call back several more times and complain.

So even if everything goes right, you are paying shipping for clubs you will be using for free for a month. Doesn't sound like that great of a deal to me.

Not to mention, the popular opinion is that their clubs suck anyway.

I don't know if there is a thread on here about it but there has been on every other golf forum I've been on. JL is spot on from everything I've ever read about the company. Stay away from them.
