PGA Championship [Spoilers] TaylorMade R11 Iron Contest

Well, 3 out of my 4 are still around but I got 2 @ +1 and one @ +4, time to put on the rally caps!

Can't believe Jason Day, he went from being in contention to missing the cut in the blink of an eye!

I find the guys you compare TW to comical. Sprewell, MC Hammer, wth is that about? If I had to compare TW to anyone, Greg Norman and Michael Jordan would be accurate. They both branched out into the sport through different avenues, clothing, design, management.

I must have slept through times when Norman and MJ threw their careers away because of hookers, porn stars and strippers! Come to think about it Hamner and Sprewell are unfair comparisons........how bout Charlie Sheen? You more comfortable with that?

Well I only have Adam Scott left, I didn't want the R11's anyway - hehe

Coverage today should be good with any luck

Actualy Jordan cheated on his wife as well, mot sure about norman and why he got divorced. But everyone forgets MJ and his transgressions

By the way, so did Sprewell and Hammer.
Im not making the comparison, but both branched out quite a bit in business and due to some bad decisions ended up in tight situations.

He sure did. So did Bill Clinton and many many more. Not sure that makes it any more acceptable and not sure I will ever understand the defense of it by some, but for some reason, many many people think it is okay. Heck some fans think its "cool". "Check it out, they get millions and all the ladies". And sadly no I am not kidding, it has been posted on this site by quite a few people.

Cheating is cheating no matter how or who it's with or how many. I only brought the Jordan remark to bring some insight into the comparison, nothing more.
IMO opinion hammer was lost finically and spree....well his downfall was well documented. I liken TWs downfall to Finch, Norman and DD. They all lost their mental edge and it spilled over to their game.

Agreed.

I'm glad I could amuse you. The point is these guys were making so much money that their grandchildren shouldn't of had to work yet here they stand, broke as a joke and bankrupt. Once the money dries up it goes away REAL quick.

Anyways I apologize for hijacking this thread, this isn't the TW thread. I'm done discussing this in here.

Yeah. I used to think it was just a matter of time. Apparently I was way wrong.

My predictions are usually way off base so yeah lol

I kinda misquoted there. I meant I thought it was onyl a matter of time before Tiger was dominating again or hell, atleast contending. Not shooting 78's and stuff.

I got ya Ninja. I thought he might be back to playing better golf by now but I agree it sure doesnt look good for tigger. Maybe he should start actually playing some golf.. :confused2:

You would think that would be the logical thing to do. He's too cool for school though.

I guess so. Good to see one of my picks back in first again even though Khaki Strick put up a tigger like score. Bradley has been real good lately. I wonder if its possible to win this thing with only two guys left.

Bout to leave now for the course. Will def. get tons of pics. I think we are following Fowler and McIlroy today so it should be fun. I want to see Garrigus so I can tell him to go low cause I need irons.

Tell Stricker to knock it off and stop playing tigger golf that just wont cut it anymore. hehe

Pretty pumped to see some different marquee groups today. Watching Tiger play like Jake was awful.

I say Tiger gets back in this thing today, theres no cut just like last week right???

Wow, I've been away for a day or so and this thread is way too far along to go back! 3 of my 4 picks made the cut... you can guess who was my fourth I'm sure? I was pretty nervous after the first round when one of my picks was nursing a hurt wrist and another setting a career personal record.

Well, I don't think I'm much in the contest as has been normal for me and my picks for most of the season! UGH!

Sure as long as they finish first and second and nobody else picked them

I hear ya bro...I am glad to see some other people play....not sure if comparing P4B's game to Tiger is much of an insult.....I mean I think any of us Hackers would gladly take a 74 or a 77 on that course. :D

I meant off the tee, with those massive banana balls. That fairway wood shot that Tiger pull hooked into the trees was a thing of beauty.

Today will be moving day for Phil. I'm hoping for a 67 today from him.

I've never seen anything like that shot, that was bad, really really bad. I hope Phil makes a charge today too, and Toothy, I would like to see him put up a good number today and get himself in this.

I like Phil but I think he moves in the wrong direction today. Stricker gets it back together and moves into a tie with Bradley by the end of the day. Both my picks btw. haha
