Cool JN. Thanks. I really just want them because I walk every round and when it's hot out, it gets draining. That hurts my scores in matches. I hope this helps that and keeps me playing like the first few holes throughout the whole round.

Search back a page or two, I posted a link to a deal Nuun has on their website. It was cheaper than Amazon, ebay or anything else I could find on the web.

It drinks as smoothly as water, no added texture other than almost a slight carbonation effect. I think you'd really like this, Jeff.
Thanks, Nate! The non-chalky is enough of a seller for me and I could probably deal with the flavor being a little light, when compared to the other sugary drinks out there. If it does the job, it does the job. Review away!

and enter code "runblog10" for 10% off at checkout, it's more expensive than the 4 pack DawgDaddy posted, but you can pick any flavors you want $5.20 a tube if you buy 3 tubes.

Definitely intrigued by these and I'm also glad to be hearing some good things. Like that it doesn't have a chalky texture. Definitely like that it doesn't carry an aftertaste. I'm a huge water drinker - water and G2 are about all I drink during the day (beer aside). It'd be great to have something like this to add in to my repertoire. I've never really done the Crystal Light's or any other add-in but I'd definitely give something like this a try if the results were evident.

Great write up JN....I am hoping to skip out of work early for at least a quick 9 tomorrow afternoon. I am going to be working in an area that has a nice par 3 course that I like to play and walk....sounds like a great first test.

When I got home yesterday there was a brown envelope waiting for me from THP! I had a good idea what it was, but you never know. Sure enough it was my Nuun Tablets that I have the privilege of reviewing. I received 4 packets(2 are for Nerfny to try out). The flavors are Lemon+Lime, Strawberry Lemonade, Fruit Punch, and Grape. The Fruit Punch and Strawberry Lemonade are the 2 I am most interested in trying.

As was mentioned before, the tablets seem to be too large to fit in the top of a bottle of water so they will most likely have to be broken in half. Of course if you have something like a Nalgene or Camelback bottle it won't be an issue.

I will be walking the course on Saturday so these will be in the bag. The 4 of the final 5 holes are all up hill so it's easy to get run down by time you get to the greens. I figure it will be a good test to use this while walking that course. We both plan on walking it again on Sunday, but the the weather is looking kind of dicey at this point. We've also both been starting to get back in to running so these should come in handy for that too.

If you are looking to purchase them but don't know where they can easily be found at amazon. If you are a Prime Member these do qualify for free shipping. You can buy them in a single tube(holds 12 tablets) for around $8 or you can get a variety pack of 4 tubes for $25. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_no...s=Nuun&x=0&y=0

Thanks to Nuun and THP for allowing me to test this product. I look forward to getting out on the course with them and seeing if Nuun can find a permanent place in my bag.

These things are big with runners, not at all surprised the running sites have them at a good price.

I am excited about trying these out on Saturday. It is suppose to be about 80* around here. That will be warm enough to need a little boost during the round. I always seem start to struggle around the 7 or 8 hole. I hope these are going to help out with that. If so, I will be picking up some for the future. The tubes seem like they would be easy to keep in the bag and just bring a water bottle to the course with me.

I think I am going to go with ddec recommendation and take a Nalgene to the course. It think it would be easier to deal with.

One concern I have now is how easy does it dissolve in cold liquids. Most of the time on the course I get cold water out of the coolers through out the course. I hope it dissolves easily and taste great.

I'm curious if someone could do a head to head comparison against Gatorade/Powerade and see how they do. I frequently get a bit sluggish on the back 9 during the summer and these might be the answer.
