Whats the story with these?

Advanced, multi-layer technology activates a new level of distance performance, propelled by increased velocity and optimized aerodynamics.

Designed for golfers who want:
  1. Tour technology designed for amateurs with 80+ mph swing speeds
  2. Longer distance off the tee
  3. Superior feel, unmatched consistency

The Vapor is a pretty good ball if your ss is <100. It's also a good winter ball for those with higher ss's, which has been discussed in a "winter ball" thread somewhere on the site.

Its an OK ball, nothing special though. IMO, its much the same as a Titleist NXT or Bridgestone B330-RX.

RX? The other two balls you are speaking of have a hard surlyn type of cover and the RX has a premium urethane cover. The Bstone ball that would be more comparable based on specs would be the e7.

In terms of compression they are really similar though.

Slightly, but again not really the same thing.
It would be like comparing the Pro V1 to the NXT Tour or the Z-Star HL to the NXT Tour. Completely different golf balls because the outer layers are made up of different materials. If lower compression is needed, the Bridgestone e6 would be more of a direct comparison and the e7 would be more of a comparison in terms of ball flight and spin characteristics (as mentioned above).
