YouTube golf instructor? Personally I love watching instructional videos on YouTube. One of the teachers I follow closely is Shawn Clement. Post a link or tell the name of an instructor whose videos have helped to improve your game

I guess I never watch instructors on video. I'm a big believer in live, hands on training.

Never watched any instructors on video but I am a fan instruction no matter what type. I may have look into it

Wow! Absolutely amazing tip.

I do believe that tapping the lip constitutes grounding of the club. Twice! Team paradise may have this in the bag!

I watch quite a few instructional videos on YT but don't really have a favorite.

Jeff Ritter. He has a lot of great videos.

Brian Manzella. He comes off a little hokey at first and can go off on tangents, but he simplifies very complex swing theory concepts better than anyone and has awesome drills on his channel.

Me too.

I remember one winter when I surrounded myself with videos from many different pros all trying to "help" me and by the time the next season rolled around, my swing was so messed up it took almost that entire year to "de-program" myself and learn to swing like "me" again.
If I'm in the market for instruction, I'd much rather have a real live person standing there helping me to fix my swing rather than watching a video trying to emulate or interpret someone else's.

Another big fan of Shawn Clement.

Mark crossfield, club reviews and great easy to follow tips.

I dont really watch instructors on YouTube. I look for Tour Players that have the same swing as me and get their tips. Then I go to the range and practice the tip.

Shawn Clement's vids have helped my full swing the most. Leadbetters short game stuff works best for me. Mick's hinge and hold is in my bag now too.

I love this instructor but only for bunker play
I can see why, he just needs more and tighter closeup shots and I'd be a big fan, maybe a signature shout.

Youtube Clutter -- How to find worthwhile video instruction

Youtube Clutter -- How to find worthwhile video instruction

As part of my never-ending quest to improve, I've been browsing around youtube in search of good instruction. The problem is that there's far too much stuff out there and little way to distinguish what's good from what's useless apart from trial and error. I'm hoping to benefit from the experience of this group: Are there particular instructors or sites with videos that are especially worth watching. My areas of particular interest are the stack and tilt swing and putting. After taking a year off from golfing for medical issues, I recently returned to the game and decided to revamp my swing using stack and tilt. I got the book and watched as much stuff as I can about the swing method but really have not found a compelling set of instructional videos online. As for putting, I just stink at this and am looking for some way to improve. I've already gone the equipment change route, accumulating a small museum of putters, but need something more.

Thanks for the help!

John

Phil Mickelson. Clips of his short game DVD are on YouTube, and he's the best.

Merged with a recent thread.

i'm a big fan of Jeff Ritter. i like the way he breaks down the swing into easy to understand parts

I stopped watching and reading golf tips and concentrated on the very simple basics in the series of videos by Jeff Ritter and it improved my game quite a bit and helped me to really start striking the ball powerfully and cleanly. I had been a decent golfer with a high single digit hdcp but had only played 3 or 4 times in 15 years. When i got obsessed again i was struggling to find any kind of form. I stuck with the Ritter videos for the winter and came back in year two better than I had ever been.
