Is 2* upright same across brands?

I have decided to go with a set of Mizuno JBX-800 Pro irons. My current clubs are set 2* upright and a set of ap2 I got fitted were 2* upright. Would I assume that the mizunos would be the same? It looks like the specs are a little dirrent but just checking. Thanks for any advice.

I have heard the MP line of clubs tends to be a bit flatter than most other irons, not sure if that will cross over to the JPX line or not. The good news is they are forged so you will have no issues getting them bent to spec. Obviously your best option is to get them fitted to you before ordering.

    Titleist AP2 specs: http://www.titleist.com/golf-clubs/irons/AP2.aspx

Mizuno JPX 800 Pro specs: http://www.mizunousa.com/golf/produc...pro-golf-irons

Looks like the lie angles on the 2 sets of irons are 1.5 degrees off from one another in most clubs. I would highly advise getting fit for the Mizuno irons and not just going 2 degrees flat on those irons.

Different clubs have different specs, so 2* up is not the same across the board.

Great info here and I agree on always getting fit when changing brands.

Thanks for the replies guys. I went over to golfsmith and hit on the lie board and was still 2 degree's upright on the mizunos but the peace of mind helped. Thanks guys.

You will love the 800 Pros. I have been playing them since early last year and they are awesome. Forgiving, yet give good feedback...

That was my thoughts as well. When I put a GS95 S300 in the Mizunos and a KBS Tour in the AP2 I couldn't tell a difference in ball flight or distance(both were about 20-30 yards further then my Slingshots). The key was the miss hits. The mizuno's still launched the ball out there into space while the ap2's did not. Not saying the AP2 are bad club I just think the Mizunos are more forgiving.
