I'm looking for a golf ball with low driver spin but good feel around the greens. I have a moderate swing speed, and I'm more interested in improving accuracy rather than distance. Looking to spend around $30-$35 a box. Any recomendations?

I like the Q-Star and Nike One Tour in that price range.

Usually the first recommendation would be to try Bridgestone's Golf Ball fitter. Should be able to find something that fits your needs.

Just checked out Bridgestone's website. I may give the E6's a try. Thanks!

The e6 is a very good golf ball for its intended need. Very soft to make it easier to compress and one of the lower spinning balls out there off the tee. There is a banner above this one that you can click to chat with a B-Fit specialist and discuss what ball would work for you and why if you have the time. Its quite informative.

I swing between 80 - 85 and hit the E6's further than ANY ball I have ever hit .....They are soft and VERY lively ..... I found that I was going to a one iron difference when playing this ball as it was THAT much of a difference .....Nice feeling ball for the close game too !!..... Jim

Also really like the e6!

Well not to muddy the waters but I found the e6 to be relatively short off the tee and okay on the greens, although it did stay in the fairway. The Top Flight Gamer 2 stayed in the fairway at least as well, was longer and had less roll out around the greens. It is a very reasonably priced ball, too (my swing speed is high 90's, low 100's).

Tequila ,
Perhaps that softer E6's serve us slower SS guys better ....They give us the right amount of compression needed to launch the ball further ......Perhaps it's not the same situation with faster SS guys as perhaps it just turns to mush with a fast SS..........????????......My pardner gave me some Gamer 2's and I did not do as well with them ..... I hit them straight , but did not get the distance that I got with the E6's ......

I've been playing the e6's quite a bit lately because they're good for the price. BUT I have played the b330rxs and that ball is a lot further off the tee. My SS is right around 98-100 mph could this be why I'm losing distance with the e6 off the tee? I'm swinging to fast?

I haven't played the B330rxs. However I don't hit the E6 as far as I do the NXT tour. I'm assuming it has to be swing speed. I average around 95 with the driver. The Nxt tour iis a great ball. I may need to give the B330rxs a try.

I would suggest trying the e7 then--same price as the e6.

Great point. This is my first season paying attention to the type of ball being played (used to just buy whatever distance ball was on sale) so the nuances of what works and why are somewhat new to me. Thanks for the input.

Taylormade TP Black.nuff said.$29.99 per doz.

E6, B330-RX PINK, Wilson Duo, or Maxfli U2

I was in the same boat, using e6's for the past season and have been looking to upgrade mainly around the green and approach shots. I, however, chose the 330rx. It doesn't have as much spin obv. as the rxs, but, plenty more spin around the green than the e6 (which was my main concern.) I think the main thing for me is that it's also the least "spiniest" premium ball off the tee that I have found thus far. I'm in the middle of testing some other balls, but, the 330rx is the best compromise of tee to green that I've found so far. My swing speed is also somewhere from hi 90's to low 100's when loose.

Picked up a box of E6's! Playing A round at the Goose tomorrow. Let you all know how it goes....

Well, the E6 definately proved to have less spin off the driver than the Callaway hx bites i played the other day. My distances were consistent, and greenside feel was pretty good. My new SM4 wedges stop the ball dead! The optic yellow was also easy to track. All and all, think i will stick with this one for awhile.

Sounds great. Always nice to find a ball you like. Think it adds confidence myself.

check that, looks like you've already found your ball! Ha! Of course I wouldn't read the last 2 posts before I did.

I myself found tp blacks wayyyyy to hard. Low ball flight, durability not great. Wish i could find reds to try. Z stars have been in the bag for the last 1.5 seasons. As long as they are cheap on LGB ill keep playing them

NXT Tours.

I'm in my first season of actually paying attention to which ball I use and have also been going with the e6. I might pick up a box of the 330rx to see if they are any better for me. I'm happy off the tee and in the fairway, but I can't get anything to bite on the green

if your not sure what ball to play, I assume you are an amatuer (like the rest of us, not meant to be a put down). The Bridgestone B330RXS is an awessome ball, its for amatuer swing speeds and has an amazing feel but there $42/dzn... I switch on and off between these and Srixon Tri Speed Tours at the moment, both are favorites of mine.

If you dont want to spend the $42 on the B330RXS than get the Bridgestone e6+... those are approx $27-28/dzn and are a good cheaper alternative to the above mentioned. Im not a Bridgestone fanatic but when you know your swing speed, spin RPM's, etc you can easily choose the proper ball from them... the Srizxon Tri Speeds are a little harder but I hit them long and straight so I cant complain :)
