R11 vs R11S vs Rocketballz Driver

Can someone compare any of the following drivers? I currently have an R9 but when getting my new irons I was looking into upgrading my driver as well.
R11 vs R11S vs Rocketballz Driver

I wanted to stay with TaylorMade for sure. I hit the R9 with the setting between Draw and Neutral. (for me it is straight down the middle)
    Factory Stiff Shaft.

If you need any more information please let me know. Thanks!

I know a very well known clubmaker/tester and according to him, it's the R11 without a question. He has many good things to say about the R11s and RBZ, but his 1a/1b are the Titleist 910 and TM R11. FWIW, his 2a/2b were the G20/i20. This doesn't mean he has negative things to say about other clubs. He's said so many good things about many different products, but from an engineering and materials standpoint, those are the rankings of the clubs according to him. He also said that doesn't mean one would hit one necessarily better than another because certain clubs just suit certain swings. Get fit and try as much as you can.

The R11 is 440 cc and the R11s is 460. The finish on the bottom is entirely different. The R11 has a 3 position ASP while the R11 has a 5 consisting of C+ and O+ and C, N, O.

The stock shaft is different, R11 has Fujikura Blur and the R11s has a RIP phenom both are 60 g stock but at a higher price, you can buy the R11/R11s TP and get different shaft offering. Both are phenomenal drivers IMHO but you should get professionally fit for optimum performace.

If it were me, I would go R11S. Its the most similar to the R9 as far as forgiveness and performance.

That is quite interesting there Jag. Especially the materials and engineering part of it. There are a few that would strongly disagree with that at least according to the aspect of materials and engineering.

I'm sure they would, but he tests for all the major OEM's while the clubs are in production and aren't finished being designed. He knows what he's talking about. Like I said, I left out many details about many of our different conversations as he's said many positive things about most of the club making companies, specifically Callaway on having great designs and great materials.

I dont dispute that. I would love to hear more about the different materials and engineering in the R11 to R11S and what makes one better strictly from that standpoint.

Dangit Jag stop making me lust even more over the 910...It's unhealthy as is lol.

I doubt there is a bad answer here to the OPs question. See which ones fits your swing/budget, then see which one passes the eye test. 0% chance of a bad outcome these days.

I tracked down a quick picture of the R11 and R11s I tried out last week, I really felt like the R11s sounded better when hit my old R11 sounded like a train smashing into a wall and the R11s is a nice little plink.

As far as distance goes the R11s was a little farther for me, I'm guessing the bigger head had something to do with it haha

I've owned the R11 and now play the R11S. I would assume it's because it's 460cc instead of 440cc, but the R11S seems to be more forgiving for me. Plus, it's long for me as well. I'm hitting the ball really well with it.

Go hit them all if you can and get the one that suits you best. I think the R9 is only 440cc as well right? Hence they later came out with an R9 460. So, you may be fine with the R11 but might also find the R11S more forgiving. I personally love the R11S.

Yea, the R11s is slightly more forgiving and that would benefit a wide range of golfers. All are great options, but make sure you pick based on how you like them (sound, feel, smash factor, etc...).

Westtex: haha... It's a fantastic club. The good news is Titleist should be releasing a new driver this fall so you can likely get one at a better price come then. Just an FYI... I use discountdans and you can get a really good price on one right now from them if you can't control the club lust a few more months.

If you pull the trigger, give Blind 9 Golf a chance as well. Good people and good prices for THP members.

Glad you decided to go with a fitting, definitely the best choice! Good luck!

The R9 is actually 420cc. And from my experience of owning both the R9 and R9 Supertri, I'd imagine the R11s would def be more forgiving and have a higher ball flight than the R11, thanks to the larger head and higher MOI

Funny you mention that you didn't like the sound of the R11. When I tried it out last fall, the pro at GG was trying to sell me on the sound and how TM worked closely with Bose. Being an audiophile, this could explain why I hated the sound. I hate Bose speakers

The R11s does seemed improved in the forgiveness and RBZ does seem longer, but dispersion wasn't so great for me. R11s would be my first choice if I you made me choose.
