Ole Gray and I played this course last weekend and really enjoyed it. It was a late Sunday afternoon round and it felt like we had the course to ourselves although we did see a few folks scattered around from time to time.

The rough can be punishing and the greens are FAST bent. The sand traps have nice white fluffy sand. The fall colors are just beginning to pop.

We can join this course for $215 per month with $20 cart fees or pay cart fees of $2,475 per year. There is only an initiation fee of $250 right now. We are wavering because there is another beautiful course that is about the same distance that is a better price but even more beautiful.

Monroe Golf and Country Club has a ladies' association with about 35 members. That alone is pulling me towards their club. We shall see.

Here are some pictures from our round.

Well I probably shouldn't say that since I haven't played it yet, but Bill says he likes Lane Creek even more.

Great looking course, you and OG are lucky to have such a nice course up there

It looks great! And you guys had a perfect afternoon to play it on Sunday too.

What a fantastic looking course ya' got there Kelly and OG , I would love to call that a home course if you guys do become members. Heck not to far from me and definatley worth the trip to sneak a round in with you guys one day .

Nice looking course. Very cool that you have a second to choose from.

Great pics of a beautiful course!!! Glad to see you and Bill were able to get out with all the craziness going on lately with your lives!!

Great looking course! I can't wait to see pics of the other course!

Great pics of the course, it's gonna be pretty in a couple more weeks when the fall colors are in full bloom. Nice looking swings too

We had 14 TPHers at Monroe Golf and Country Club today. Thought I would add some of the pictures I took to this thread and let some of the THPers that came to the get together comment on the course.

Such a beautiful course. I love the different colors in the trees

I can't wait to see it when the grass is no longer dormant and the spring colors are busting! I'll be adding more pics then.

Really enjoyed playing out at Monroe CC today. The course is as Ole Gray, KellyBo and others have said, tougher and more challenging than you would think by looking at the rating/slope and yardage. I did find it to be fair though. The fairways were fairly generous and the courses defense lies in its greens. They were speedy quick with some slopes that you have to be aware of if you want to score. Those slopes will punish you if you are out of position and above the hole. Nice little track that I'd like to get over and play again sometime.

Looks like a beautiful course and a fun one at that. Would love to see the course when the grass is no longer dormant. I bet it is even better looking. Thanks for the pictures!

I love Monroe. It's a great course and I play it often with my co-worker. The greens are always in great shape.
