Yes the adapter fits in all callys new drivers. Only difference between the adapter in the razr fit and the adapter in the new drivers is the shaft hosel i.d. (.350 in razr fit)(.335 in new drivers)

Yep, right on! But, no worries as you can still get .350 or .335 adapters and both work in past and present models.

I am planning to order a 10.5 xhot next week. I am thinking about ordering a bit shorter than the standard 46". Does/will callaway do anything to keep the swingweight the same ?

If you call them and do a custom order, just tell the rep what length & swing weight you want and YES, they build it for you. I did this exact thing on my X Hot Pro 4-wood. You can also request the Pro shaft (which is the true aftermarket shaft) at no additional upcharge...

Questions. So a .350 razr fit adapter with a .350 shaft will fit in the x hot and x hot pro even though they are .335. Does that also mean that a .350 RAZR fit ADAPTER will also work perfectly fine IN razr fit TA even though the TA project X shafts are .335
If the answer to both is yes I never thought it would be. The outside dimensions of the adapters must be the same size regardless of whether or not you are using a razr fit adapter .350 for a 350 shaft or a razr fit .335 adapter for a .335 shaft. I assume it would also be true that my Razr FIT tour authentic with the .335 project x in the .335 tour authentic adapter would work fine in a razr fit head or for that matter the x hot or x hot pro.
Thanks for any answers on this.

Hit the 10.5 today, solid as usual, not sure on numbers though cause was hitting into the nets. Really love the 10.5 more than the 9.5 which I cant say about every driver out there for my game.

That is my understanding of the mechanics...

The adapter's external dimensions are evidently the same regardless of the shaft size. So it's kind of a one-size-fits-all approach?!?!

That's all correct. The outer diameter of all the adapters is the same. The inner diameter is what varies.

Thanks for clearing that up , I just always assumed that there would be a difference in the outside dimension of the adapters.

Thanks for the help on that, I was guilty of old school thinking .350 hosel = .350 shaft and vice versa on .335. Never realized this, just wrongfully assumed outside dimensions were different.

Haha. I wrongfully assumed the other way. I just assumed they offered the two sizes so you can use any shaft and never verified if it was correct.

Thanks to everyone who confirmed this for me.

These gentlemen are correct with the outer dimensions being the same and the inner hosel dimensions being different. Callaway switched to a .335 inner hosel dimension per tour feed back is what ive been told from Callaway reps. The reason being that the .350 hosel required them to use shims to install .335 id shafts which reduced feel in the driver. Thats why last year almost all Callaway tour pros used the standard razr fit but had the tour authentic adapter installed in their driver.

pretty excited that i'm getting an X HOT Driver.... after today and getting a chance to use an XTreme for an entire round with a decent shaft in it made me realize that that will prob make my bag for the morgan cup but since i'm getting a chance to get the X HOT i'm gonna game it for a while and see how it performs on the course for me. I really feel like this still could be a great driver for me i'm hoping i like the X Flex shaft and it fits my swing better than the Stiff shafts i've hit. i still want this to work for me, worse comes to worse i try some other shafts in it and i'm sure i can find something that is a decent combo even if it doesnt' beat out the XTreme.

For unknown reasons don't know why they disliked the Tour Authentic head and chose the regular Razr fit head. I would never rely on a shim band aid type sizing fix, do it right the first time and remove the doubt.
