As many of you know, we have a schedule published over at www.home-happens.com with the calendar of visits and where the THP Tour Van is appearing. Well, in September, the month is completely yours. We had a full schedule planned, but the truth is, the THP Tour Van is about the people, so we want the members here to decide where we should go rather than us.

So here is the deal. You decide where we are going and if your reason is compelling enough, and it works, we are coming to you. Golfer Gal, myself, Duke and Ellie along with just about every golf club imaginable are going to be out for almost the entire month of September and we want to hear who wants us to come to them and why. And don't forget the prizes. TONS OF PRIZES for everybody that comes out.

All you have to do is post in this thread where we should go and why we should go there. Then at the end of this week (or so), we are going to announce the full schedule of our visits for the month. Now of course we would like to come everywhere, but with gas prices and time, its not feasibly possible, so if your area is not selected this time, never fear, we will simply have to work on that in the future or you can join us at one of the annual THP events.

We look forward to bringing the THP Tour Van to you!

In case you missed the THP Tour Van.

Sandhills area. Why? Because there are a ton of amazing golf courses there and a bunch of THP'ers "around" that area.

WOW ok time to put some writing skill together and see what happens. This is ging to be awesome, wherever the Rangefinder winds up.

VA - combine rides and golf... 'nuff said.

I'd just like to extend an invite to you, GG, Ellie and Duke to come over to Orlando and have a meal at casa de Kong. You can cruise by on the way out of town or coming back through. Door is always open!

September is my birthday. And if that's not enough we can gather together a nice gaggle of THP'ers for the Kmac Birthday Open at Deerfield in Newark DE. Make it happen!

Sarasota, FL. It's close to home, plenty of dog friendly places to go, and after a great round of Golf, there it's always great to devour some wings from Bogey's.

Wow, what an awesome thing for you guys to be doing!

I have to rep the Philly/S Jersey/Delaware area for a stop for the Rangefinder. First, Philly is an awesome city. Great night life, good people, and amazing food...I know you guys have a penchant for eating local fare when traveling, and you need to stop by and get an authentic Philly cheesesteak.

Next is south Jersey. You have Atlantic City, which can pretty much explain itself. The shoreline is gorgeous. The pinelands are beautiful.

Last, but not least, is the golf in this region is wonderful, especially thanks to the fact that there are plenty of THPers in this area. Golf4life, Hanks, Kmac, Buckjob, Thechosen1, motoo, Gianna, Mattykrack...the list keeps going.

Come to the Philly/S Jersey area. It's where the cool kids play.

Just going to throw out a group idea around here. I would gladly travel to Philly or DC to even NJ to get more members involved in this, to see the tour van together!
Look at the amount of members in this area with the amount of great courses and areas!

Colorado - great weather, beautiful scenery, great courses, I'll take JB and GG to dinner, many THPers here, but most of all because of this...

Welcome to THP!!! I keep telling JB we need to move to Colorado because I can't take this Florida heat anymore.

ill also throw out the Philly, NJ,DE area Tons of great courses and lots of THPs always playing rounds together which is one of the things i love most about joining the site! Be great to see the Rangefinder and crew show up at one of our rounds!

Hmmm, Well if the fact that Puttin4Bird living here isn't a good enough reason in itself, than I'm not sure we're good enough. Otherwise, I got nothing.

How about the fox valley area in Wisconsin? Great courses, THP'ers, casinos, dining, and best of all a break form the summer heat.

I'll throw the DC area in the bunch. Nation's capital and home of last year's us open at congressional. We have over 700 members in the DC USGA club and could be future THP'ers.

A trip out west here to Utah would be amazing! Why? September is one of the best times to visit Utah! The courses are in great shape still, the leaves start changing colors and it is perfect temps outside for ANYTHING outdoor. Golf is about $40/round with cart at some amazing courses, you can travel down to St George and go hike Zion, you can also hike hundreds of miles of trails in our beautiful mountains up here in Salt Lake.

September is when golfing gets best in Utah. The high school's start their play in early September and you could certainly go to the course they are playing and get a ton of members with that gorgeous van sitting in the parking lot! I would show up whenever they end up playing Wasatch State Park. They have 2 courses up there so we can go play the side the high school isn't on.

What isn't there to love about Utah in September?

You should definitely come North of Atlanta to the metro area (Acworth), because there are a lot of THP members in GA, you guys can park in the pool lot across from our house, and I will cook dinner when you come.

ALright, I am game:

I propose Tuscaloosa. Great college town with friendly people, great bars and restaurants, and nice golf courses such as Capstone and Hidden Meadows (which is probably the hardest course I have ever played.

Another option is Jasper, a quiet little town of about 50,000, it has an amazing course just outside it's limits, Horse Creek which, for my money, has the best price-to-quality ratio I have ever laid eyes on.

Finally, I humbly submit Birmingham: Amazing golf in the RTJ trail and good shopping opportunities in the Galaria Mall.

In addition, Alabama has some amazing golfing weather that time of year, warm but with lower humidity and cool breezes. The grass is green, the water is cold, and of course, I will be there, which kinda seals the deal, doesn't it?

Lots of votes for the Philly/South Jersey thing. I'd love it if you guys came up a bit further north. Maybe central NJ to make it easier for everyone in the NJ/PA/DE area to go. We could get a ton of THP'ers to come out. That would be a blast.

Id love for it to make its way up north. Whether its up here to New York or in the area. Northeast around the time of FedEx cup playoffs would be cool. Plus Kmac would come visit, I just know it.

Oklahoma.

Why? Because no one EVER comes to Oklahoma. :banghead:

Oh, and I will add that I love to cook, and I have access to an entertainment area at my college at no cost to me with a full kitchen, televisions, ect if you decide on Birmingham, which isn't far from campus.

Uh, whoops. I just realized where I will be during September. Come to Clemson. There's a nice golf course on campus. And there's a helluva barbeque place down the road.

You should come to Grand Rapids. You can take one single road for 90% of the trip. There's some absolutely stunning courses around that anyone would enjoy playing. It's a very golf rich area and a visit would attract a lot of new players. And after a great round at Pilgrim's Run or Thousand Oaks, there's the West Michigan Whitecaps, home of the most famous minor league baseball food in America, the Fifth Third burger! Talk about eating local.

Bringing it to the people. I love it.

As much as I'd like to say you should come to my hometown, I have a better idea. Come to Des Moines, Iowa. It's a central location that brought about 12 THP'rs together for an outing. It's a fairly easy drive from KC, Omaha, the Quad Cities, and Minneapolis, among other places. Some great courses, including the Harvester and Tournament Club of Iowa are in the immediate area.

How about doing a tour of the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail. 468 holes of championship golf at 11 different sites. At least one of the sites would be really close to the THP members in Alabama, but there would also be a site that is a driveable distance for all of the THP members in the Southeast
