    OGIO AQUATECH Bag Preview

    This is a Press Release

OGIO, a global leader in golf bag, apparel and accessories design, rolls out the first-ever waterproof golf cart bag to the market weighing less than 5lbs. This unique bag was intelligently designed to support a number of technological features that promise the ultimate golfing experience. Engineered with thermal-welded seams and crafted with YKK waterproof zippers the AQUATECH is 100% waterproof, allowing each user to feel confident that all aspects of this bag can withstand the worst conditions mother nature can whip up. Available for $279.99 at www.ogio.com.

Similar to advanced technology used to separate oil from water during a spill, the AQUATECH is compiled with hydrophobic dynamic materials to deliver a long lasting, durable and stain-resistant coat. The OGIO-created SPF 3X protection preserves vibrant color and maintains the bag’s overall pristine condition, while the thermal-welded seams guarantee supreme waterproof capabilities. Weighing in at an unobtrusive 4.8 pounds (similar to OGIO’s famous endurance bags), the AQUATECH caters to golfers’ much needed comfort level. Designed to fit perfectly either an electric or push cart, it’s perfectly versatile for riders and push cart walkers alike who may encounter inclement weather.

“We’re proud to be debuting a solution for our customers that has supreme waterproofing capabilities, a heavy focus on style and appearance, lightweight appeal and fade resistant materials with our special SPF 3X standards,” said Tom Gocke, Global VP of OGIO Golf. “Considering the overall industry trend to walkers using cart bags on their push carts, and the upcoming rainy season, we wanted to be quick to produce the lightest water-proof, versatile, cart bag in the country.”

    AQUATECH Features:
Crafted with light-weight waterproof fabric, and waterproof fleece lined valuable pocket with internal cell phone sleeve
Bag surface engineered with SPF 3X protection to maintain color and “new” look 3 times longer than the industry average
Thermal welded waterproof pockets, seams, and zippers for 100% protection against rain
Weighs a mere 4.8 lbs and is built with an ultra-padded shoulder strap
Includes a 14-way diamond performance top to conveniently and securely store clubs without them jostling around
Includes waterproof, snap on rain cover for the top of the bag

The AQUATECH cart is available now at www.ogio.com for $279.99. Don't miss the AQUATECH STAND version, incorporating the same great waterproof technology in a carry bag at less than 4 lbs.". Also available at OGIO.COM for $259.99: http://ogio.com/golf-5/aquatech-wate...tech-stand-bag

I'm with Hawk, the white one looks very nice

If I was looking for a new bag, they could be very tempting

I like the looks of the white one, but a bit on the high side of pricing. But it certainly serves a purpose for sure.

Pricey indeed, but sounds like its packed full of tech! Not huge on the looks but never really liked the look of cart bags in general.

I love the idea of having a waterproof bag, I'm just not crazy about the looks. Something about the triple stacked pockets looks funky to me. But, I guess more room is never a bad thing.

I don't play in the rain too often, but I appreciate a company putting a product out there for that golfer. Like the fact that the club cover is also waterproof....just as important as the rest of the bag.

I'm an Ogio fan, always have been. Looks pretty interesting, I'm not a big rainy day golfer, but it would be nice for a lot of folks no doubt.

This almost makes me think they listened to one of my reviews.

Crafted with light-weight waterproof fabric, and waterproof fleece lined valuable pocket with internal cell phone sleeve
The Assassin I reviewed had a plastic lined waterproof pocket and it got all sorts of steamy in there on a rainy/hot/humid day and it made my phone go Johnny 5. Fleece is vital.

Saw these the other day, a bit concerned with ripping. Nice looking bags for sure, but I'm not gentle. Great concept and detail. Worth a look if moisture is around your game .

Why is rain stuff so freaking expensive? Is the waterproof material really that expensive?

This is obviously a bit of a stretch, but ponchos cost like five bucks and that has more surface area than a golf bag.
