So pumped! It's 2 days away still and I am up at 6am today!!

Awesome! A buddy of mine goes every year with his father-in-law. I live vicariously through his golf adventures.
 
Thanks! I am here on my honeymoon and my wife got me the round for an early birthday present! Going to be playing another round at the royal course at kaanapali
 
Nice! I played The Plantation Course on my honeymoon as well. It was awesome! Easily, the most relaxing round of golf I've ever played. The views are incredible. Enjoy!
 
Never been to Hawaii. My brother has, and he played The Plantation Course, said it was awesome and the views were great. Have fun, play well!

I have played the Plantation course a few times. It is my favorite course on Maui.
When you get to 18, aim your tee shot at the left chimney on the clubhouse and let'er rip.
If you catch it right, you will hit the speed slot going down the hill and moving left. That will put you in a great little flat spot to try and rip it to the green in 2.

My favorite course in Hawaii not just Maui. I really recommend that you eat breakfast at the Plantation House if you have the chance. Also if you are not used to trade winds, they affect the ball more than you would think. If you feel that you should aim 5 yards right, aim 10 yards right, if you think it is a one club wind play a 2 or 3 club wind. It honestly took me 2 full rounds to truly trust the wind, ocean affect and grain on the greens. Have fun!!!

Well played there today. What a course!!! Ended up shooting an 83. Had a double on 13 where I should have hit driver off the tee and a triple on 14 where I duffed a couple chips trying to get onto the green (slight mental break down). Played from the combo tees (championship and regular) 6980 yards.

birdies on 9, 15 and 18! Lipped out a couple putts for pars and birds on the front so I could have been lower!!

They punched the greens on September 1 and have been top dressing them every other day. They are still stupid fast though then putting towards the ocean!!! I could not believe how much the grain of the green played into the speed here it was unreal!!!

I was paired with 2 guys from Pennsylvania who were great to play with! Also my wife rode along with us (they let her ride for free!) since the greens where being fertilized they only charged $200 instead of the usually $278 + the $35 for a rider.

On 18 we teed off from the pro tee right at the 663 yard marker. I hit driver down the and had 315 left from the middle of the fairway. I hit my 3w and was in the fairway with about 50 yards left to the pin. Hit my pitch and almost holed out for eagle as it rolled right over the hole!! Ended up with bird!

Also on the 18th we all dropped a second ball at our drives and tried the bubba driver off the deck. Actually hit mine pretty decent and ended up in the green side bunker! 3 yards more to the right and I would have probably rolled up on the green!!!

all in all It was a unreal day on an unreal course!! Pics coming as soon as I get them loaded!!

oh and didn't lose a ball all day!!!
 
What a treat! Sounds like you ha a blast and nice job of taming the log 18th.

This is such an amazing experience! I bet you had a blast:) I would love to play in Hawaii let alone visit there. I can't wait to play some top notch courses. Glad you enjoyed it all buddy. Post any pictures/videos you have please!!

Those pics are gorgeous! Thanks for sharing, glad you had fun. And congrats on the marriage! (Don't know how recent it was. We went on our honeymoon almost a year after our wedding :D)
 
Congrats man! Glad you had a blast but there wasn't really a doubt. Your pics bring back some great memories for sure!
