Dammit BYU.

Damn Case McCoy is bad.

Michigan with a great win! 115k+ fans is crazy!!!

Is 500 rushing yards a lot for a team with another quarter to go?

Not when the game is on Xbox.

Oh, you meant in real life? Yeah, that's pretty bad.

It was the citadel, and it kept us out of the national championship game. We were penalized for it.

Let me give you a little background on that. (Well, not you, but the non-SEC folks)

That year, Auburn played more top ten teams than any team in the nation. We played 5 teams in the top 25.

In the SEC championship game, we played #15 Tennessee for the second time that season and won by 10. USC at the same time had to have a last minute interception to avoid getting upset by a HORRIBLE UCLA team. ESPN's comment on our victory over a top-25 opponent by 10? "Not championship-like." ESPN's comment on USC's horrible performance? "They found a way to win and that's what championship teams do."

ESPN made it clear that the nation wanted to see USC vs Oklahoma.

The next year, FSU played the Citadel during their Orange Bowl season. Know how much time the media spent roasting FSU over the playing the Citadel and arguing they shouldn't be in the Orange Bowl? Zero.

I'm not saying USC/Oklahoma was wrong. Both did go undefeated. But the blatant campaign to ensure Auburn didn't upset the desired matchup was ridiculous.

I love college football.

Two shockers to end the night with BYU and Washington State picking up upset W's. Love it.

Two words:

Lame Kiffin

What happened to all those Notre Dame fans?

Havent seen them in a while.

The ND fans were still trying to tackle Eddie Lacy.

The best part was the low scoring. PAC 10 low scoring. Gotta love it.

A 10-7 PAC 10 game just hours after the marquee SEC game of the day was 41-30. Bizarro day for sure.

USC and Texas...yikes. Lane Kiffin needs to just go disappear. Horrendous coach and from all accounts, person.

Love waking up to see a ND loss, even if it means UM won.

Nate,
What is going on with Texas? They look flat on both sides. They should be steamrolling this team.

I don't have enough time but let's try. We have a 72 year old athletic director that only cares about bringing in money and is hanging on so he can collect his million dollar annuity.

Mack Brown is a lame duck coach. Manny Diaz is in way over his head. The offensive line is terrible, we haven't had one drafted in about 7 years.

Last thing is, we have no middle linebacker and our safeties are afraid to tackle. That's about it.

Things are looking up in Longhorn land.

With all of that. It blows my mind how much money that program brings in.

Last I saw it was valued at over $700 million. That's more than some NFL teams, plus they have the Longhorn network. Yeah I know the record hasn't been great the past 3 years, but before that they were 12-1 and 13-1. Only lost a couple bowl games in 10 years too.

That USC team was HORRIBLE. So happy to see WSU take them down, ugly though it was.

I said the Washington state win would look decent before the end on the year, I didn't think it would only take a week

It's a shame that UT lost last night. The writers will now only bump them up two spots instead of 10.

Notre Dame will likely move up.

Here is a Forbes article that says they are worth 135 million or so.

Now I know the TV station makes about 15 million annually.

I believe the least valuable NFL team is the Raiders at about 900 million.

FWIW, Texas is the most valuable college football program as of this year passing Notre Dame.

I think this is where I saw it, numbers are a little different though.

According to research done at Indiana University-Purdue University Columbus, Texas' football program is worth $805 million -- more than the Forbes-calculated value of the Jacksonville Jaguars ($770 million), St. Louis Rams ($780 million) and Oakland Raiders ($785 million). In other words, the Longhorns aren't sweating the $5.35 million salary they pay Mack Brown. Or the $25.9 million (U.S. Department of Education figures) they spent on the program in 2011.

Even if these numbers are wrong, Texas football is crazy.

Weird considering they cite the Forbes article for values of the NFL and not the same place that valued NCAA. Here it is

Yeah those may be the most recent numbers. In no way am I an economics major, but it says Texas football brought in over $100 million that year, which is a little under half of what the Raiders did. I also have no idea how they value programs on different scales as college players aren't paid and I'm not sure if they are counted into that value. But I think we can agree on this: Texas football is a monster.
