Taylormade RAC TP Wedges

Hello Everyone,

I found a 52 degree Taylormade RAC TP wedge in the used bin in fairly decent shape for cheap and decided to give it a go. I liked it on the range and now I'm looking to add a 56 degree to my bag. I found these on eBay and they're all around the same price... just looking for some input on which would be worth purchasing?

Personally, I'd gravitate more towards the black finish more than the chrome. I had the 52 in Chrome at one point and it got to be a little brutal on the eyes on clear sunny days. You really can't go wrong with any of them though to be honest. The ZTP was the edition released after the racTP, and if I recall the "Z grooves" were a little more aggressive and deeper than the racTP "Y Grooves" were. Depending how much you spin the ball and how you primarily intend to use your 56 (full shot vs 3/4 shots, etc) you may want to keep that in consideration.

If it were me, I'd probably go ZTP wedge.

Full shots from 75ish yards out, greenside chipping from the rough (tighter lies I'd use either my 52* or 60* depending on how much green I have to work with) and bunkers for sure.

Yeah I'd probably lean ZTP then. The sole is the same, just deeper grooves. I really liked my racTP wedges, I can't see them treating you any differently.
