Same goes for friendliness. The wife always tells her servers to fake friendliness..... eventually it is just force of habit, and then it isn't fake anymore.
 
Great list, #25 is one of my favorites. I learned a similar lesson from my grandfather; listen first, then speak. You would be surprised what you can learn

Agree. I have told employees when they are having a bad day, or are in a bad situation, smile - even if it's the last thing you feel like doing. Amazing how once you do that, things generally seem to improve quickly...
