As I move about the country seeing golf courses, every clubhouse is unique in their own way. Some are nothing more than a trailer, others are works of art.

Do you have a favorite clubhouse from the courses you have played?

Hideaway, mens locker room...

Whistling Straights, upstairs bar....

Black Wolf Run, fits the course so well...

The nicest clubhouse I have been in was at Ivanhoe. It was not my favorite. It just felt stuffy and lifeless.

Now, the clubhouse at Sweatgrass in Escanaba, MI, attached right to the casino, that's a party.

Sherwood Country Club was the nicest I've ever been in.

Love the location, porch and abundant rocking chairs at Caledonia. Clubhouse itself isn't special. Will need to think on this one.

The Oregon Golf Club

It is beautiful, luxurious and really nice. I love the fireplace in the middle of the men's locker room, the upstairs grill with views over the driving range out to Mount Hood and it doesn't suck to sit in the hot tub drinking a few beers while watching tv after a round.

Medinah and Olympia Fields are obvious choices…. on a smaller scale I'll go with Crystal Tree (Orland Park, IL) and Gaylord Springs (Nashville, TN).

The clubhouse @ TPC Sawgrass just looks unbelievable, too….

That's what I was going to say as well......the back deck at Caledonia is just perfect, but the rest of the clubhouse is nothing special.

Sweet drive in though.

Conservatory. No reason necessary

There is a community just outside of Ocean City, Maryland called Glen Riddle. It includes two golf courses, War Admiral and Man O' War. They are named such because they are located where these two race horses trained. The old stables have been converted into the Clubhouse that contains a Ruth Chris steakhouse. Nothing better that an enjoyable round of golf with some buds followed by some good steaks and drinks.

Thats one of my favorites too. Plus the pretzel dogs are legit.

No question Bella Colina should be on my list.
Along with Olde Stonewall

The clubhouse at the Piedmont Driving Club in Atlanta is ridiculously nice.

Caledonia for the porch and view of 18

bella Collina for the sheer beauty

tpc Sawgrass for the architecture

indian wells for the merchandise

I don't think I've experienced enough but of the ones I have, I like the ones that overlook the course, lots of windows and direct sunlight.

One that comes to mind is Harvest Hill in Orchard Park, NY. You can sit inside or outside overlooking the 18th hole. One of my favorite closing holes in the area too.

Not necessarily my favorite but I thought it was interesting. Middle of the desert outside the strip in Vegas, Royal Links is gated with a medieval castle for a clubhouse. :)
The stone definitely helps keep it cool in such heat.

The Palmer Course at La Cantera in San Antonio, Texas

Best one I've been in is Congressional. Indoor pool, bowling alley, several restaurants and bars. Great locker room and many areas I couldn't see

I've been to a lot I like for many different reasons.

But probably one of my favorites is the clubhouse at Whistling Straits. Not a hige stately one, but just very cool. I like using the locker room to change if needed or just sit and relax and watch the nice TV in the lounge. Followed my a nice lunch in the dining room with a window view that looks out over the 9th and 18th hole. Post round beverages in the upstairs lunge are a great way to end a wonderful day of golf.

George Wright Golf Course in Boston is one of my favorites, at least from the outside. Especially cool for a muni.

I'll also put a vote in for The Ranch, for local courses.

Some that come to mind.

Pine Hill, now called Trump Philadelphia

Ocean Trails, now called Trump LA

Dismal River

Hawk Valley. Three barstools, a few small tables, a plasma, about 15 square feet, but the beer selection is awesome and cheap and the food is terrific.

Sweeten's Cove. A trailer with a porch overlooking the course and $1 beers.

Jackson Hole CC

My favourite would be the one at the end of the course I'm playing, because it has cold beer waiting for me!

One of my faves is the Wizard in Myrtle Beach.
