He has never been a great putter but he used to able to hit it close enough that it didnt matter as much. Not doing that as often anymore.
Easily would have been a double for me
Great shot!
Now missing the fairway with an iron. I think he needed a longer break.
270 to the front. Finau carries with ease. Man these guys are fun to watch!
Was he downwind? It’s a stiff breeze out of the south today, probably 20MPH at times. 87º by my thermometer. Humid, conducive to carry distance.
Ball go far in da heat.
Couldn’t tell ya. It was on the par 5 12th. Ball also go far when you’re 6’4” and swing like Tony Finau ?
Next year!
…aaaand he’s slamming the trunk and heading home. His little brother made the cut, though – bet Brooks won’t live that down anytime soon.
I was thinking the same thing. Other than Finau and Wolff, there aren’t many names you see on the top of leaderboards very often. I guess both Thompson and Werenski have been around on the Tour for a while, but to be honest, I had never even heard of either of them.
this makes it no fun for me to deride his game
He isn’t hitting it short! Tommy carries 17 yards further on a hole today.
We always get the fluky journeyman winner when there is a tournament here, save for Payne Stewart. #RichBeemWatch.
Yeah, WTF is that? Can’t help but chuckle every time I see it. But hey, he’s on the Tour and I’m watching the Tour, so, he must be doing something right.
Why not?! I strive to exaggerate moves the way he does.
Not boring to me. I’m just happy that there is televised live golf to watch.
It’s like target practice
looks like it. Homa is having one heck of a round to get back into the hunt
Except for that last one off the 18th tee.
Loved that 283yd par 4 that they were writing off as an easy 3 for the final group. Tony Finau. Driver. The game has not changed that much.
A seven wood on PGA tour. Love it. Wish my seven wood shots were laser straight arrow high hold the green kinda shots .
