It’s time for the second major of the year and this contest is a good one. This will also serve as the place for the tournament chat bringing the banter and conversation through the entire 2022 PGA Championship.
The Prize
We have teamed up with Callaway Golf for a prize that is pretty darn awesome where you can win one of the unique and limited edition 2022 PGA Championship staff bags. You will see them all over TV this week and of course now you can have your very own.
Southern Hills CC was established in 1936, just as Tulsa was being touted as the “Oil Capital of the World”.
The city was growing rapidly as people moved there for work, with its economy relatively prosperous in the midst of the Great Depression.
Construction of numerous buildings in the popular Art Deco style made downtown a shining example of that design era, which is still admired today.
Two different bag side panel treatments; the first celebrates the blue collar oil rig workers of the day, while the second pays homage to the Art Deco style with a geometric print pattern.
Embroidery graphics pay tribute to the oil business of the 1930s, and the significance of Route 66 to the robust migration to Tulsa in that time period.
How to Enter
Post below who you think will win The 2022 PGA Championship. You can choose anybody in the entire field. For fun, include in that post if you will be using the limited edition Callaway Staff Bag on the course or if it will be a display. Don’t worry, we won’t hold you to that part.
If nobody picks the winner, we will choose the winner randomly from all entries. If there is a tie, we will choose the winner randomly from those who guessed right.
Entries must be posted by the time the first players tee off.
Make your prediction now and win this fantastic prize courtesy of Callaway Golf. We will announce the lucky winner next week on the THP Forum.
I read that he said yes to every interview request. Also said he would like to have a do-over on 18 and owned it. Can’t help but respect it and root for that kid going forward.
No WiFi, no live TV, on a 3 hour flight.
When we landed in Memphis, the playoff was just starting. I saw enough to know JT was up 1 with a hole to play.
Faldo was 6 behind Norman in 96 Masters. Have to point out Norman’s failures.
At least van de velde got into a playoff to try and win…Mito had a rough 18th too but missed his chance for redemption
Felt the same way especially with it being a 3-hole aggregate format. I was rooting against Mito the whole day to help my fantasy team, but I do respect him taking the requested interviews and owning up to his mistake. Makes him a guy I will be rooting for in the future.
True, Mito played well all the way until the 18th on Sunday…but that’s when nerves can kick in big time I’m sure
His first Sunday in a major, I’m sure it was a huge learning experience for him. I had to Google it, but it was Zalatoris’ 5th major Sunday, and JT’s 21st.
He stood up to the pressure pretty well until the last hole – and I also believe the saying that you learn a lot more about a person from the way they handle defeat than you do by the way they handle victory. He was gracious and stood up like a man afterward, respect to him for that.
Please send a PM to @GolferGal with your full name and shipping address and we will have this bag sent to you.
Congratulations @shinger69 on the win!
Man that was a beast of a course. Only a handful under par.
Seems like the trend of the PGA being today’s "US Open" and the US Open being today’s PGA, is still going.
Feel bad for Pereira what a tough break there. Had to have been nerves. But I’m guessing he still cashed a $500K check today, so a lot to take away from this week.
What do you mean the PGA is like the US Open and vice versa? I still think the US Open has some ridiculously difficult conditions.
This was just crushed by the weather
You’re right. PGA seems to have gotten harder though.
He just gave himself an opportunity for an amazing shot from over there
That was a great bogey
That is just painful to witness. I’m blind.
The youth movement is strong! Zalatoris and Young continued to show their significant talents. Wins and perhaps majors are in their future. This is the first time Periera hit my radar. Outside of the final hole, he played an amazing PGA.
He means the PGA is toughening the courses and the open is easing. Not saying the open is not a tough venue.
Tragedy for one… opportunity for many
Please send me a PM with your full name and shipping address and we will get this bag right out to you.
If we hear from the original winner, we will make sure he gets a great prize as well.
Congrats @golfinnut!!! WOW just WOW!!!?????
We will make sure he is taken care of if he gets back to us.
Unfortunately the bag must be shipped due to a couple of reasons.
That is super nice of you guys… always above and beyond!
Can I change my pick to Justin Thomas please?
