It is absolutely enjoyable to see just how far Callaway Golf has come in regard to the women’s game. Not only do they recognize that it is the fastest growing segment in golf, but they realize that it is a group which deserves to be taken seriously. That is what remains most impressive with the brands REVA offerings, from box sets to accessories and even golf balls, Callaway has provided options for entering the game. However, they also realize that women golfers deserve a true core offering of clubs as well which play to their specific needs and open the world to real fitting possibilities.
That is why we are talking about the 2023 Big Bertha REVA lineup as a standalone release. REVA is considered a sub-brand unto itself by Callaway, and with that freedom and attention, it means creating an aspirational and specifically designed product in the women’s segment. One that is very much needed and deserved.

2023 Callaway Big Bertha REVA Irons
There is no better example of how seriously Callaway is taking the task of creating REVA as a specifically designed women’s lineup than the irons this year. Yes, there is a finish change compared to the Big Bertha release with these being a chrome look and the badging is similar, but that is about it.

These irons offer more offset than the men’s lineup and also showcase a uniquely designed A.I. face for each club that works for women’s miss tendencies more. Likewise, though all the other technology like internal and external Tungsten is present, its application in terms of amount and placement is unique to REVA so that not only could the launch parameters be met, but so too can head-weight and swing-weight.

The Callaway RCH 45 is the stock graphite offering in the BB Reva irons and the lofts here play off a 44-degree PW and 31-degree 7-iron, again showing true design application for the target audience and not simply a new paint scheme. The irons come 4-SW and are priced at $999.99/6 piece set (steel) and $1,099.99/6 piece set (graphite).
2023 Callaway Big Bertha REVA Hybrids
Callaway’s testing and data collection showed them that the hybrid is the most used club in the women’s game overall, so like the irons, there was a focused effort to ensure the BB REVA hybrids were fine tuned for that purpose.

The hybrids feature the same Opti-Fit adjustability as the Big Bertha line, though with a touch more visual offset. Visually, the shaping is the same with the square toe look and longer heel-to-toe blade length, but they feature a deep metallic “Eggplant” crown finish to differentiate without looking gaudy. All the tech is here as well, from Triacial Carbon to Jailbreak Batwing and even Callaway’s legendary A.I. Face design, simply in a loft orientation more fitting to women.

The Callaway RCH45 is also the standard shaft here with 4 through 9 hybrids available (24, 27, 30, 33, 36, 40-degree) and 4-6 also in LH. Price on the Big Bertha REVA Hybrids will be $259.99.
2023 Callaway Big Bertha REVA Fairways
By now you see, Callaway is neither just re-branding the standard Big Bertha clubheads nor removing any of the tech. Rather, they are blending the designs to fit the specific needs of the women’s golf demographic. In fairways, that means making them more playable into greens as they will be hit that way exponentially more.

The shallow face and slightly triangular Triaxial Carbon crown is rocking the “Eggplant” metallic finish well and the A.I. face has again been entirely redesigned here on the BB REVA fairways. The bigger adaptation though was taking the progressive length and lofts of the clubheads to an even better fitting place with the length being anywhere from 0.25” to 1.0” shorter than the 2023 Big Berthas.

Callaway is offering the Big Bertha REVA fairways in 3W (18), 5W (21), HVN (23), 7W (24), and 9W (27) with the 3W/5W being adjustable and 3W/5W/7W also available for lefties. The fairways are priced at $299.99 and come with the Callaway RCH 45 or 55 shaft options.
2023 Callaway Big Bertha REVA Drivers
Finally, probably the coolest looking women’s driver ever released from Callaway. The elongated and triangular BB REVA head absolutely pops in pictures with the “Eggplant” finish on the Triaxial Carbon crown. Extremely interesting here is also that while the BB23 focuses on slice reduction, the REVA is much more about power and distance.

It does offer an adjusted internal draw bias still, but the XL face and Wishbone Jailbreak have been optimized for this specific head by Callaway’s A.I. and that fact could open up a world of fitting potential on the women’s side. With all the bells and whistles that Callaway has packed into this driver head, combined with the Opti-Fit adapter, the Big Bertha REVA driver just might be the driver that turns the women’s segment on its ear.

The BB REVA driver comes in 10.5 and 12.5 degree heads with the Callaway RCH 45 or 55 as standard, and it will be priced at $499.99 on release.

Great write-up @Jman ! I am very interested in these as my wife needs an upgrade from her previous set of Big Bertha as the dark finish is starting to show its wear. I know my wife is pretty comfortable in her woods and wedges so this would make a good Christmas present later this year.
I really am super excited to see where Callaway has gone with REVA. Bringing a fully designed for women Big Bertha Reva lineup which allows broad fitting possibilities should honestly excite everyone.
Hate to say it, but it seems like most companies just treat women’s lines like throwaways. Nice to see some effort and focus put into the segment.

Mrs. Reject needs a 3 wood upgrade!!
Also, “Eggplant” color scheme 🙂
Good stuff. The REVA line looks good.
Nice looking clubs
Thanks for the article and review. I need a new driver. I’d love to try this out. Just don’t have $500 to spend with 2 kids in college and an elderly mom who relies on financial assistance. Some day maybe!

Fun fact, they put a TON of research into market trends and feedback to decide on a color.
Great to see Callaway going far beyond the usual “shrink it and pink it” approach to women’s golf equipment. AI tailored specifically to the women’s game, adjustability and fitting options, looks like a solid lineup.
Can I ask.. what is the correct way to pronounce Reva?
The last iteration I heard people calling it Reeee-vah and some say Rev-ah… like revving a car and then ah at the end.
These look great, nice colors too. I would love to have my wife try the entire lineup.
Nice to see some customization to the ladies equipment.
Hey @JB I fight a slice and purple is my favorite color….I’m just saying. 😉

I have to say, I like the purple a lot better than the previous blue they have used in Reva too. The pics look pretty killer.

I totally agree. It’s not your magenta, trying to be pink purple, it’s that nice eggplant purple like you described. I’m like it a lot.
