It is hard to believe that it was all the way back in November of 2023 that Odyssey Golf made its first big unveiling since the news that the company and Sean Toulon had amicably gone their separate ways. That release was, of course, the tandem of
Ai-ONE and Ai-ONE Milled putters, and to date they remain some of the most advanced the brand has ever created.
Since then, back in October we have got some additional shapes to both lineups from Odyssey, but have been eagerly awaiting more. Today is the day, as not only is Odyssey adding new Jailbird options, but also introducing Ai-ONE and Ai-ONE Milled “Silver”.
If you want to read up on all there is to know about the technology behind Ai-ONE, be sure to check out our full release article on them here, but today we are going to focus specifically on the new shapes and finishes.
2025 Odyssey Ai-ONE and Ai-ONE Milled
Jailbird Expansion
Jailbird is taking over the world.
Okay, maybe not the world, but the putter world at the very least. The resurrection of the Jailbird has been one of the most interesting journeys to follow in the past couple of years. It is shape that was moderately popular when it was first unveiled, but it wasn’t until Rickie Fowler sparked a wave of use on the PGA Tour that it found its footing amongst the masses. Now, the Ai-ONE Jailbird Mini has become one of the hottest putters on the planet.
This isn’t the first time Odyssey has seen such a surge in one of their designs (2-Ball or Seven, just to name two) and because of that they know how to handle these situations. How is that? By giving the people what they want.
That is why this past October we saw the company bring to retail the Ai-ONE Milled Jailbird Mini for those who loved the shape but wanted the Milled insert instead. Fast forward to now and they are adding another Ai-ONE Milled Jailbird with the Mini T Versa 90. Still utilizing the deep blue finish as their main visual, it is part of a horizontal versa design at setup with a high quality silver lining the middle of the head shape. While it stays true to the double bend neck, it is pretty amazing how much the stripe orientation makes it feel like a different shape visually.
Then, in the standard Ai-ONE lineup, Odyssey is adding both the Jailbird Mini in a slant neck, as well as the previously discussed Versa 90 in both double bend and crank hosel. These both feature the same mini shape, but keep with the dark midnight blue and white contrast scheme which along with the insert differentiates them from the Milled versions.
Odyssey Ai-ONE and Ai-ONE Milled – Silver
Rest easy though, Odyssey is not becoming just a Jailbird company. No, they remain the biggest and most successful putter manufacturer on the planet, and part of that is also due to their ability to keep things fresh. When both Ai-ONE and Ai-ONE Milled released, some adored the blue finishes as they are so deep, they border on black. However, there were many, including some on Tour who wished for something a little more traditional. Today, we are also getting six putters in a new blasted “silver” finish.
For Ai-ONE, Odyssey is releasing three of the already existing shapes in this the blasted silver finish. The choices are the iconic #7 in double bend and slant neck orientation, a double-bend double wide, and the #1 with a crank hosel. While there is no doubt someone will be upset that their favorite was left out, this is a pretty rock solid starting point.
Where the Ai-ONE Milled options being released are concerned, there will be some very happy people. Not only is the Two T blade being released in the satin silver look, but there are also two versions of the Seven T (double bend and crank hosel) as well as the much lusted after Three T. If that weren’t enough, the way the bronze insert pops against the silver is turned up with the weights in the same finish for all three models as well as a fully anodized bronze sole plate in the Three T.
The Details – 2025 Odyssey Ai-ONE
All of the new options coming to Ai-ONE and Ai-ONE milled are paired with the SL 90 shaft, though there remain custom options available as well. Pre-Sale on the putters will be available beginning today, though the product at retail date will be 1/31/25. Pricing will remain $299.99 for Ai-ONE and $449.99 for Ai-ONE Milled.

Would love to take credit for it but I’m sure they listen to the people with their names on their bag a little more. :ROFLMAO:
Though if the PM grind makes a return in some form I am taking credit for that.

Nah, thought I was just grabbing the CH one. Didn’t realize they were connected until I posted it, but decided to just leave it. The paint scheme is the main aspect to it so it worked well enough…or at least I thought.

That new Jailbird looks amazing to my eye at address
Good morning everyone! I was lucky enough to be fit into a silver Milled Seven T CH at the Grandaddy.

Coming into the fitting, I had been playing the JB Mini pretty much all last year. I knew I wanted to go with a different alignment scheme than the JB this year, and wanted to look at the Square 2 Square #7 but that was about it. I had seen some pics of silver protos on tour last year that hadn’t moved me too much one way or the other, so I was pretty surprised when I got into the putting studio and the silver series immediately caught my eye. The Seven shape had been one that seemed to really suit my eye when I had rolled the original releases. Luke started talking to me about my putting and I talked through my particular alignment struggles in the past and what I had found to work for me. He had me put my preferred alignment line on a ball and had me line up the ball and set up to the putt, then used a laser to check my alignment, which was just left of center. He said that is perfectly fine, and since whenever I’ve used lasers or similar tools I’m typically right of the target, I figured slightly left of center as a bias would be a good thing. Luke also gave me an AI One Wingback to try on the Quintic.
On the Quintic, I made the first putt and Nick said my numbers looked really good. If I understood him correctly, the only thing that was a little out of the desired range was my acceleration through impact. He said on tour because the greens were so fast that players were gradually getting closer and closer to actually decelerating through impact, so I got the impression that that aspect of my stroke wasn’t necessarily bad, just different than what a tour player might be given those conditions. I forgot to grab a picture of my numbers which I’m kicking myself for a bit. He had me roll a second putt to confirm the numbers, which I also made and the numbers were good. I then swapped out for the Wingback, which I also made, but Nick was immediately like “that definitely wasn’t as good.” Given his confidence and how much I was liking the Seven, I was sold and that was the end of my fitting.

At the Hideaway, the biggest thing I was impressed with was the speed control. If I recall correctly, I 3 putted the first hole then didn’t have another one the rest of the 2 rounds. I frankly expected a lot more adjustment moving from the WH to milled and moving from Chrome Tour to Chrome Tour X. I’m pretty agnostic as far as WH vs. Milled feels, but I played a couple rounds back home in the cold with Chrome Tour, and I feel like I definitely notice the difference between Chrome Tour and Chrome Tour X more with the milled compared the JB Mini I had before.
One last performance thing I’ll mention is that this putter has kind of made me a believer in the SL90 shaft. When I put the JB Mini in play last year I felt like the shaft was too light and I was losing the head, so I moved on the SL90 pretty quickly. In this head it feels really balanced, and as good as my speed control has been I don’t have any intentions of moving on from it right now.

Visually, I mentioned that the silver popped for me in person a lot more than pictures I had seen previously. I think the main area the silver pops more is with the milling lines on the face and the top and bottom of the wings. I believe the milling patterns are identical between the blue and silver heads, but IMO they stand out a lot more on the silver which I like.

When looking through my whole Grandaddy bag, this might be my favorite club I was fit into, and I can’t wait to get it back out on grass.

Might have to find out for myself!
the feel on the milled is really good. @JTinMO was on fire with his one off.
I’ve been gawking the 7CH all day. I don’t know how many versions of that head Odyssey has released over the years, but this to me is classy and stately. No plates, no gimmicky badging just raw steel. It’s kind of like playing a Ping Anser for years, then seeing a well thought out milled version and going “whoa”
Looks like some fantastic additions to both lines. Sadly, I have never even seen any of the models in either line. Pictures here and elsewhere have me very interested in both the Three T and Jailbird Mini heads. I will certain;y have to make it a point to take a trip to try them sometime fairly soon.
So many great additions to the lineup!
now I need a slant neck Jailbird, a silver Two T and a silver Three T S
