We have done plenty of reviews on adidas Golf apparel and we have always walked away very pleased with what they had to offer. The clothes were always very well made, had the top of the line technology to keep a golfer cool or warm, and for the most part were right in line with today’s fashion trends. I didn’t really think adidas Golf would be able to outdo themselves but then they introduced their adiPURE line and everything I thought I knew about adidas Golf apparel went out the door.
About the adiPURE line:
“Women’s adiPURE offers a limited collection of tailored tops, bottoms, sweaters, and layering pieces that are appropriate on or off the golf course. The first adiPURE women’s apparel collection features a soft color palette of mauves and platinums for a timeless look and feel, as well as ultra soft, comfortable fabrications that feature ClimaLite®, ClimaProof®, ClimaCool®, and ClimaLite Warm technologies.
* Premium tailored fit polos incorporate sanded fabrication with Lycra® eliminating restriction, as well as a moisture-wicking peached fabrication with ClimaLite technology.
* Slim fit pants and skorts are a blend of cotton sateen and Lycra for excellent recovery and comfort on the course.
* Fitted cashmere blend sweaters and layering jackets complete and compliment the wardrobe on cooler days.”
We received one complete adiPURE outfit that consisted of their Sanded Jersey Polo in white, Peg Pant in Platinum, and Long-Sleeve Sweater in mauve. This is the type of sophisticated, elegant outfit that I would wear to the office so to be able to take something so classy and bring it to the golf course is quite a treat. Do you remember the first time you had a job interview and you wore a business suit? There is this feeling of maturity that goes along with putting on that suit and I honestly felt the same way when I put on the adiPURE clothes. It was so refreshing to have on golf clothing that had all the benefits of modern day technology but had the look of traditional attire.
If you had a chance to read the men’s adiPURE review you saw how much Josh B. loved the entire line but his favorite was the shirt. Now that I have had the pleasure of trying the ladies version I know why he loved it so much. The fabrics seem simple, 86% Lycra and 14% polyester but there is nothing simple about how it feels, it seems nearly impossible to describe. It is almost spongy in texture and has a felt like quality. It is incredibly soft to the touch and molds so beautifully to your body. Once you put the top on it almost feels like an extension of your skin. Based just on feel a person might believe this would make you warm but it is the perfect blend of technology and comfort to keep a golfer warm when needed but also cool and sweat stain free. The sizing runs very true and for right now this polo is only offered in Black or White.
Of the three pieces we received the pants would be my least favorite and I still loved them. The Peg Pant is a slim fitting pant so it wasn’t great for my figure but other ladies couldn’t stop talking about how much they loved them. I really enjoyed the style, feel, and the overall classy appearance but for a girl who carries all her weight in her thighs slim fitting pants are usually a no-no. My favorite feature is the slits at the bottom it’s a really nice added touch and just continues to add to their overall high-end look. I also really liked that they have two pockets in front and two in back. Between a glove, tees, ball marker, and ball I always say the more pockets the better. Even with my self-conscious thigh issues these were incredibly comfortable and with the addition of 2% spandex they offer plenty of give and stretch. Currently the Peg Pang is offered in Black and Platinum and run quite true to size.
While the pants weren’t a perfect fit for me they were definitely a perfect fit for many. What was a perfect fit for me and my absolute, hands down, favorite item was the Long-Sleeve Sweater. I have so many amazing things to say about this sweater I honestly don’t even know where to start. It has all the beautiful, soft, velvety qualities of a cashmere sweater and then topped off with a hint of spandex for stretchy, form fitting goodness. You have the stretch and freedom to swing a club with ease while being wrapped in a gorgeous cashmere sweater. The first thing that caught my eye about the sweater was the stunning mauve color and elegant piping detail in the front. When I put the sweater on I never wanted to take it off. The fabric is luscious and it just conforms to the body so nicely. For me there is nothing better than a great sweater to have in my wardrobe and this is one that I will have forever and most likely in ever color offered. Right now it comes in Black, Mauve, and White and runs very true to size. As you can probably imagine all three colors will soon have a nice new home in my closet.
There is nothing fancy about the adiPURE line. You won’t see crazy designs or bright and bold colors but that is what is so great because now adidas Golf apparel has truly found a way to offer something for everyone. When I look at the adiPURE line I see tradition, class, and sophistication. Normally, I like really daring colors and styles and most of my wardrobe will reflect that, but there is just something about the adiPURE line that grabs you and makes you want more. This is definitely in the higher price bracket for golf apparel but for truly high-end, high quality clothing this is a brand I highly recommend trying.
