Golf accessories are everywhere in the marketplace today and The Hackers Paradise gets bombarded with them each month. Very rarely does a company make accessories that fit all the criteria that we look for when reviewing products, but when it does we want to make sure that all of our readers know about it. That is the case with Ame & Lulu.

Based in Brookline, Massachusetts, Ame and Lulu has found a very stable niche in the sporting goods market since its inception in 2003. It began when Amye Kurson, the company visionary, was a golfer on the quest to find a trendy, fun, yet sophisticated set of golf headcovers. After searching through boutiques and pro shops, she was surprised by the lack of such sports accessories. Amye sought to put an end to the void and designed her own prototypes for golf headcovers, shoe bags, tennis bags, and yoga bags. The stylish fabric and dulcet colors have become a match for those seeking to make a fashion statement while playing in the great outdoors. All of their products are hand-made in the USA.

When THP had a few readers reach out to us about this line we quickly contacted them and spoke to them about doing a review of their line. They took a look at the site and liked what they saw and a few days later a sample arrived at the office to work with. The first words that we thought of when we saw the merchandise is “adorable”.

The products we received to take a look at are simple, yet sophisticated and very well thought out. The design patterns are as good as we have seen on the market right now, and their product line is growing considerably. Although they seem to have a great selection already. Ame & Lulu makes products for golf, tennis, yoga, everyday life, and juniors.

Each section of their well designed and easy to navigate website has products pertaining to that particular category. Obviously for The Hackers Paradise we will focus this review on the golf gear that they are offering. They have six different products pertaining strictly to golf, and with in those six products there are many pattern choices to choose from. Golf head covers, tee bags, shoe bags, golf belts, key chains, and a 3 ball holder. The only thing missing here that we would have liked to have seen would have been golf bags.

All of the products are extremely well thought out. My favorite part of the entire line is that each product can be purchased as a single item, however you can also get a collection of the same pattern. As an example, if you are a fan of Seersucker, you can get every product that they make in that pattern. I can tell you that here at The Hackers Paradise, we really enjoyed most of their patterns. But the Seersucker was our favorite.

Overall we think Ame & Lulu is smart, sophisticated, great looking and well thought out. They really pass with flying colors in every aspect of our reviewing.

1. Is the product needed?
2. Is the item well made?
3. Are they stylish?
4. Customer service?
5 And of course price point?

They passed each of those questions with no problems. In fact the shoe bag with an MSRP of $44 is our Must Buy from them. Some may argue that the price point seems a little high on a few of their items. But when you see and feel the quality, you will realize that their prices are in line with what they are charging and what we would expect.

Till Next Time

I’m not a big animal headcover person, so these look like a fabulous alternative to those that come with the clubs!

Very cool company with some great products. I would also like to see them have golf bags to match everything.
