Antigua Ladies 2015 Apparel Review

Antigua is a name that is deeply rooted in the golf apparel industry.  One of the top LPGA players on tour today, Stacy Lewis, sports Antigua out on the course, not to mention the American Solheim Cup team has been seen in their wares.  It’s clear they are no stranger to golf.  Antigua is a classic brand that has continued to find its niche in ladies apparel and continues to do so by staying true to their roots. At the same time, they provide incredible technological advances in golfwear.  Their 2015 summer line is the perfect example.

Absolute Polo

Made from 100% polyester Desert DryTM Xtra-Lite D2XL moisture wicking material.  This polo features a solid color with black heather pattern in a jersey knit.  This is a short sleeve polo with self-fabric side insets and a self-fabric collar with an Antigua triangle patch at the sleeve.

The polo is lightweight and extremely comfortable.  The subtle stich design from the arm to the waist provides a nice fitted appearance to the waistline.

The Absolute polo is available in 5 colors and retails for $64.95.

Gem Polo

The Gem Polo has a completely different look and feel than the Absolute Polo discussed above.  The Gem is made from 92% polyester/8% spandex Desert Dry and appears to be slightly stretchier.  The geometric design gives it almost a 3-D effect, allowing the pattern to stand out.  The color we were provided is called Electric, and it can best be described as a neon yellow.  It’s a bright bold shirt that is sure to stand out on the course.

The Gem polo comes in 8 different colors and retails for $64.95.

Medal Skort

Made from 100% polyester Desert DryTM Xtra-Lite D2XL moisture wicking material just like the Absolute Polo discussed above.  This skort is extremely lightweight and features a diamond pattern with contrasting polyester/spandex jersey knit undershort and side inset, along with zip back pockets.  This skort is the perfect match for the Absolute Polo above.  The dual tones of the polo are the exact same colors as the skort and they flow together seamlessly.

The Medal skort is exceptionally lightweight, making it perfect for the hot summer weather.  It’s a nice loose fitting, flowing skirt, which is ideal for range of motion as well as comfort during the warm months.

The Medal Skort is available in 6 colors and retails for $64.95.

Gain Shorts:

The Gain Shorts are made of 95% polyester/5% spandex Desert DryTM Xtra-Lite D2XL moisture wicking material with a four way stretch.  That stretch allows for quite a bit of give, making it more comfortable to different body types.  Specifically, those with larger thighs.

These shorts fall just above or right to the knee.  They feature subtle specs of the electric color throughout the shorts and are a perfect complement to the Gem Polo in the electric color discussed above.  Since the shorts are solid black with just a pop of color, it helps tone down the bold color in the polo.

The Gain Shorts are available in 5 colors and retails for $64.95.

Final Thoughts

The Antigua apparel received continue to prove that they are not just your black and white, boxy, “country club” apparel.  Bright colors and bold patterns along with advanced technology exemplify how Antigua has continued to step out of the box with their golfwear.  To see other styles from their 2015 line and to learn more about the brand please visit their website at www.antigua.com.
