Finding the perfect stand bag depends on which features are the most important to the golfer, so it’s very often a case-by-case scenario on which bag is the gold standard. Features such as weight, club dividers, pocket organization, and stand mechanism all come into play. Regarding pocket configuration, what if players could alter the bag by removing unnecessary pockets for a particular round? That is where we start today as Bag Boy introduces us to the ZTF Stand bag.

ZTF stands for Zip-To-Fit Functionality and allows for this stand bag to fit a golfer’s needs on a day-to-day basis. We all have experienced those rounds where there will be no need for rain gear or extra layers. But who wants to go through their bag, remove all those excess items, and then pack them back in at some future time? If you are like me, you don’t, and all those extra things stay in the bag and over time continue to add weight.

ZTF provides the ability to remove not just one but two side pockets, taking this stand bag down to a slimmer, lighter version thanks to a combination of zippers and velcro. Instead of eliminating those accessories from the large side pocket, remove the pocket from the bag itself.
“We couldn’t be more excited to introduce this innovative bag to the golf market,” said Craig Ramsbottom, President of Bag Boy. “The development of the ZTF is a project that we’ve been working on for a while. We think having two bags in one is a complete game changer.”

While the zip-to-fit functionality is the headliner, this bag hits the mark on many other features. It has a four-way top with full-length dividers, a flex base to activate the stand legs, and an insulated sleeve for your on-course beverage of choice. Bag Boy ZTF also includes a sliding shoulder strap system and a thick hip pad for comfortable carrying. Not to mention that it only weighs 4.5 lbs. Tailor this bag to your needs on any given round, and it will be a pleasure to carry around the course.
Anyone who has used a stand bag on a push cart understands that they don’t always go together like peanut butter and jelly. The legs can get in the way, causing some twisting and needing to readjust the bag throughout the round. But with Bag Boys’s Top-Lok Technology, the bag will lock into the upper cradle, eliminating the twisting problem. It creates such a secure connection that golfers don’t need to use any upper straps on the cart. To fully utilize this system, you will want a Bag Boy push cart, and in that case the Nitron is an excellent way to go.

Bag Boy ZTF is available in five colors: Pearl White, Black Onyx, Slate, Midnight Blue, and Moss, with a price tag of $249, and it will be available on February 1st.

I appreciate the effort, but they are the ones that told us not to tell so they will probably be hush on it
U would think they be all in to marketing especially with the golf bag market being so competitive. Maybe spend my money on a Vessel:)

Switched out of my Vessel bag to the ZTF for this weekends rounds and to the travel bag for a trip to Central Oregon. Love traveling with the ZTF as it can go super light.

Absolutely one of the best parts of that bag. Just light and easy to minimize space.
Kind of late to the party but I just received this bag in the mail today! I currently roll with the BB Nitron and having some trouble getting this ZTF to fit? I have a spare Datrek bag in the garage which kind of slides perfectly in the top-loc area but when I try with my ZTF the main bumpers are obviously a bit wider and it seems to fit via the legs? I’ve read through the forums and saw someone say it fits a little differently but just wanted to make sure. Seems like a bit of pressure on the legs and don’t want them to snap or deform.
This is my FIRST top-loc bag so just making sure it’s seated correctly. The base of the bag is sitting on the base plate of the nitron in these pictures so it cannot go any lower.

Take the arms / bumpers and upper bungees off and it should slide right in. I used a ZTF last year with the Volt (same TopLok as the Nitron) and never needed the bumpers.

Oh, when I say “bumpers” i’m referring to the bumpers on the bag. Like the image below, bumpers i’m referring to the blue portion. My Datrek bags slides in just like this picture so I was surprised when I tried my ZTF bag and it did not do the same however was held in by the legs plates. Just wanted to make sure I was locking it as intended.

Yea i’m having trouble finding any kind of pictures on here of people and their ZTF bag + Nitron. Hopefully someone can confirm I have it seated correctly. I played 9 holes with it like this last night and it was perfectly fine and worked well I just want to make sure im not adding additional stress to the leg bracket if I dont have it in correctly.
Sorry all, I got this email from BagBoy Customer service themselves. It’s funny because there were Top-lok tags all over the bag and the box even states top-lok. Guess I just got unlucky with a defect. Ordered brand new from 2ndswing last week.
I’m curious though, i’ve seen a lot of videos of this bag and they all look like mine, the legs bumpers are mroe spread out than normal. Can someone here with the same combo ZTF + Nitron confirm fit?

Thank you for this! Yea, you should take a look at the pics I just posted of my leg configuration/bracket on my bag. Apparently this is a “defective” bag and does not have the proper Top-Lok legs installed as per customer service…not sure why they would make that option. They are shipping me a new bag as we speak, unfortunately in black though. Was really digging the green color, ha.
