The Masters has brought so many memories of great golf shots that picking the best is never easy. Some highlights will be Louis Oosthuizen making the albatross in 2012, Phil Mickelson from the pine straw, Tiger Woods chipping in and Bubba Watson ball that is still hooking, this is a shot makers dream question.
There are hundreds and hundreds of incredible moments from the normally first major of the year, so which is the best according to you? Sound off below with your best shot in Masters history.
Snickerdog already beat me to it, lol.
I’ll go with Larry Mize’s birdie chip-in for the win in a playoff. He could have hit 500 balls from there and probably not made par on half of them. Norman really was unlucky in majors having lost a couple of them to unlikely holed shots.
I was coming in with this one. Great call!
because it wasn’t during the actual tournament but for strictly entertainment purposes, it was great.
John Rahm skips shot on the water and makes a hole in one. – Bing video

Even though it’s my number 1, all the others are razor close to it.
Remember it like it was yesterday.
Sadly, my guy Rory might be in line for worst shot ever with his tee shot on 10. Although Spieth dunking 2 on 12 is up there too.
For the record, my dad was 7 years old when it happened. I’m not that old.
Same. Mr Gene’s two was so unexpected the scorers assumed the messenger meant to say it came on 16 instead of 15.
Freddy’s swing is so good. I watched that GIF 12 times in a row just mesmerized.
This was my pick…get chills still when I see replays of it. A very impressive shot with a lot of creativity to use the green slope
I have now come back to this thread 2 more times and watched that GIF 8 or 9 more times. Best swing of all time.
Absolutely what is in my mind, the perfect swing.
ooo, that’s a good one, that was amazing.
"Mr. Gene done made a 2 at the 15th!"
This one for sure
i know it’s only the 6th post down, but that’s still too far down. nothing comes close.
You can thank the CBS golf producer for keeping the camera on the ball for that extra second. I saw him interviewed on the Golf Channel yesterday and he stated he was going to switch to Tiger’s reaction to the shot before the ball went in.
Bubba on 10
As someone newer to following PGA golf this is the highlight I have seen the most BY FAR. I have not watched enough tournaments to really weigh in too much on this thread but this is the stand out from my limited viewing for sure.
In one fell swoop on a miraculous shot, it slam dunk brought the win.
While the ball is in the air……………….
Jackie – be right!
Jack – It is.
That shot stands out over everything I’ve witnessed over the years.
Worst might be molinari dunking that ball last year… Look at the mental repercussions that caused… He lost all confidence.
Also that spieth blow up might be in the running…
This is my main masters memory
There’s so many to choose from, but this is the shot that sticks out to me when people talk about all-time great shots in the Masters. One of the few shots I can vividly remember watching on TV.
Pretty cool moments where you just have to say “Bubba’s hook” or Tiger’s chip and you know exactly what it’s about!
There have been many awesome shots at Augusta, but Mize’s chip-in was simply incredible.
Again, none of the other shots mentioned WON the Masters.
Here are pictures of many of them and a fair ranking for Bubba’s as best: https://www.google.com/amp/s/syndication.bleacherreport.com/amp/2421384-ranking-the-10-best-shots-in-masters-history.amp.html
I actually think Jack’s putt on 17 beats his shot on 16 as it won the tournament on 86 using that large putter head.
But Mize’s shot? It was for all the marbles and took great skill.
Were they both more lucky than skill?
Good Luck is when skill meets opportunity.
And Mize’s didn’t?
